Good luck with that. I tried for months to get Cobb to put one of those nifty little signs or make where our road comes into another road a three way stop to no avail. Reason given by the county was the type of road the one our road goes into. If we can't get a three way stop here, there is practically no chance of getting a nifty flashing sign on 61.

As I was on my way home, I got to Pierce Rd and Cleburne Pkwy and noticed a sheriff's car sitting on the side of the road on Pierce. As I turned, I saw a second unmarked sheriff's car and a white van that appeared to be unmarked parked on the other side of the road and the crime scene van in a driveway. Anyone know what they were doing there? I didn't see anyone outside. I know one of our regular posters lives in that area (can't remember who).

Didn't dove season begin yesterday? Could be the cause of the gunshots, especially in the area around the Georgian. -
I couldn't tell exactly what color it was but it did look to be blue and white. It was not a solid color, that I'm sure of. It was going away from me, toward Hiram. It did make a sharp turn toward Hiram, almost like it had turned back toward--I don't know, Marietta or some other point north or east. It was foggy out at that time.

I came through eastbound on Macland Road about 2:30 and there was a blue car off the road just before the shopping center where Curves is located. It was a little blue car and looked like it had just run off the road. It was not overturned or against a tree and there were people across the street looking at it. Hope everyone was OK. It appeared as though everyone was. Just in a position where they wouldn't be able to drive out on their own power.

My prayers, and those of my co-workers and my husband, go to Pennie and David and the rest of the family. -
My dad found someone laying in a ditch one time. Only problem was the guy was....well, ah, ....... how do I put this??? Deceased. My dad was under doctor's orders to walk a mile a day after having had a heart attack. This find did not help him recover. Trust me, you don't want to find someone in a ditch.

Near Brownsville and Burnt Hickory Road, not far from Taylor Farm Park, very near the Cobb line. -
To Larry and Carol, my thoughts and prayers are with you. While we at work are in the same building with Don, we don't know him except in passing. We do know you two, and Steve and I have known you for quite some time now. We know that you adored your grandson, as you spoke often of him and with great pride. It's tough losing a grandchild, I know from experience. Please know that Steve, Renee, Ginger, myself and all our spouses are all thinking of you at this time. BTW, Carol, I am the Carol who shares a maiden name with you.

When you posted this, I had no idea who you were talking about. My dad died of the same thing in 1974. Strange seeming now since they were neighbors for many years in Smyrna.

I have known your grandfather *all* my life. I have spent many happy times at his house in Smyrna. I spent many happy times with your mom when we were growing up. When they moved back to Paulding County I was heartbroken as your mom and I were closer than sisters. Please tell your mom and grandmom I will see them today at the funeral home.

Made my heart stop, too. My daughter went to school with *another* Ben Jones from Paulding County. His dad is not Steve, though. My prayers are with the family at any rate.

Has it been 14 years???? I remember it like it was yesterday. My thoughts and prayers are with her family now.
