  1. I always knew there was sumpin fishy about them Lone Ranger and Tonto fellers. Watchin' his backside is more like it. JK..... Welcome.
  2. Sorry about the BP. It's nothing to fool around with. I am glad the surgery went well though. Keep us posted.
  3. Well that's kinda cutting off your nose to spite your face. As Red Forman would say......"dumbass"
  4. That is 9% per MONTH. That is the equivalent of a 108% interest credit card.
  5. Bottled water is a testament to the gullibility of the American consumer.
  6. The website says that they prohibit coolers that exceed 16" x 16 x 8". The small personal ones are OK. We usually bring in a small soft sided cooler that goes under the seat. No glass. No alcohol. They will search it.
  7. In Georgia I believe that if the land is zoned Agricultural, you can establish a "Family Burial Plot" as long as there is not local zoning to the contrary. You will need to have a survey showing the location of the burial plot filed with the deed, and the plot needs to be 150 ft away from a stream or well, not in a 100 year floodplain, and at least 25 ft from adjacent property or any right of way including utility right of ways. This was as of 2005. My wife's family established a small plot on their farm in south Georgia.
  8. When I go from this life, let me go in peace Don’t want your marble at my head and feet Don’t gather round me oh just to weep and moan Where that I’m going I won’t be alone The flowers you give, please give them today Don’t waste their beauty on cold lifeless clay One rose with love could do so much good And I think all would give it if they just understood Now God gives life freely, then he takes away What we do for each other let us do it today For we have no promise that tomorrow will come Don’t sing my praises lord after I’m gone When life has departed it’s
  9. I think that leasing the batteries would be a good idea, as well as making LG and GM jointly responsible for consequential damages. The only problem is that with the Volt battery packs integrated into the chassis with a sophisticated cooling system, the cost to change the packs out would possibly exceed the value of the car before the new car smell dissipates. That's another drawback to what looks like a good idea on paper. I'm not anti plug in hybrid, as the idea shows the most promise for serving the dual city-highway car market. I just wonder if the technology is truly ripe or if it bein
  10. Wonder what will happen when folks Gu'ment Motors Volts start catching on fire? All lithium Ion batteries are prone to overheating, known as thermal runaway, including the GM battery packs. LG will use a new separator that in theory will help protect from explosion caused by multiple shorting of adjacent cells, and a cooling system is planned, but the battery packs will still be a source of concern. Looks like they are slated for introduction next year, tested and ready or not.
  11. Gant long sleeve shirts (in Florida) with the fairy loop removed, boot cut Levi's cinched up with a wide macrame belt and a big painted buckle, and Dingo boots that looked like they had been dragged behind a car. Fortunately a couple of years later it was baggies and a tie dyed T shirt with flip flops. I remember that bracelet. Mine never made it back.
  12. WSB Story "America's Best Colleges" from US News and World Reports: Georgia Tech ranked 7th among national public universities. Georgia ranked 21st among national public universities. Emory University ranked 17th among national public and private universities. Spelman College is ranked the top historically black college for the third year in a row. Morehouse College ranked third on that list for the second year in a row. Not too bad for a bunch of backwards Southern Rednecks. We even have paved roads in the city now.
  13. I had 2 customers who had that same insurer and sustained severe damage in the Dunwoody tornado back in '98. Both had to file a complaint with the Insurance Commissioner's office and one wound up in court with them. The contractor "recommended" by the company left the one that sued with no second story on their house, and claimed that he was owed money. Similar situation with one customer who had the company that rhymes with late harm and had a bad house fire. Great companies until you have a claim IMHO.
  14. Not as long as Entertainment Tonight is on the air.
  15. I don't know about the pure number of accidents, but you are incorrect aboud deadly accidents as of 2003, and SUV design has improved greatly since then, along with the addition of abs and tcs as standard equipment in nearly every model. Deaths Per Million Registered Passenger Vehicles 1-3 Years Old
  16. A 13 year old in elementary school? I wonder if he is special needs. That would be even more reason for concern. Hope they find him unharmed soon.
  17. Good luck enforcing that. Just look at what WMA did for digital music. When you treat your customers like criminals, they tend to become one. When you offer them a good product at a fair price they tend to pay for it and support your enterprise with positive publicity.
  18. Actually the two crash pictures in the OP are two different cars and two different accidents. neither is a smart car. The top picture is of a head-on accident between a VW Cross Fox and a truck in Brazil.
  19. Les and Robert probably hung out at the same crossroads. But Les handed an Starburst to the devil after he tuned it and played a piece and the devil was beaten that day. Probably one of the most important early influences in R & R. Play on .
  20. You only have an alarm if you have an electric pump that pumps waste from the tank to the field. This is not very common, so most homes don't have an alarm. But if you do and it goes off, you should call a qualified plumber immediately. W & W, Skyline, and Hambys are all good.
  21. I believe that as long as the boxes have state tax stamps on them that they can be resold in that state. So to sell them in Georgia they must have Georgia tax Stamps.
  22. The old ruins right on the creek at Sweetwater Creek State Park
  23. Good Point. How many times had the meth dealer been arrested? How many of those arrests involved a firearm or violence? Obviously this judge exercised his/her discretion and issued a sentence that indicated that they did not want this perp back on the street any time soon. Until you sit on the jury, you shouldn't judge the verdict.
  24. 1999. Kosovo. Anyone?......... Jessee Jackson and Rod Blagojevich offer a free photo op to later convicted war criminal Slobodan Milosevic, giving an air of legitimacy to his "ethnically pure" government of murdering thugs. I see the similarity. Thanks Bubba.
  25. I've also heard that aliens are coming to suck out our brains. We probably have the same sources.
