  1. Mr. Davis is a big believer in New Math.
  2. How about changing it to the redneck Firebird. Backward Jesus Decal and 4 wheel drive optional.
  3. He traded the opportunity to negotiate pharmaceutical prices in perpetuity for an 80 billion dollar Ad campaign with Big Pharma.
  4. It's a 6 hour infomercial for something that the American people have already rejected.
  5. Man, an early seventies GMC could make a sweet project truck when you get done beating the crap out of it.
  6. People, it's not rocket surgery. Legalzoom would do just fine. You can even do it yourself if it is just a DBA name change and the structure is not changed. You only have to inform the IRS and the Georgia SOS office of the change, as well as the county business license office. You will also need to provide documentation to your bank if you will be using the new name for banking. IRS Sole Proprietorship Name Change State of Georgia, Corporation Name Change
  7. The Trail of tears was circa 1830 to 1835. I somehow doubt that your grandmother was alive then. My Grandmother married a half blooded Cherokee Indian in 1927 in Winfield Kansas, and he was 4 generations removed from the march from North Carolina. In fact I believe that it was it was my great, great, great ,great, great grandfather that was marched to Fort Gibson. I could be a great off either way though. My great great grandfather was the first to learn English and become active outside of the Cherokee culture. He took the surname of the man that gave him his first job.
  8. 99.999% of the time, "unintended acceleration" involves an old lady in a Crown Vic hitting the gas instead of the brake. Ir is extremely rare that an automobile acts on it's own. Darn near impossible in fact until fly by wire. I think that this is why Toyota initially dismissed the small number of reports, and then hooked the floor mats like Honda and others had done in the past, and then finally looked at it's gas pedals for sticking. Now it's reported that there may be an electronics glitch that Toyota until yesterday said was impossible. They are using one of the most prestigious lab
  9. Do you really think that the media or any Democrat opposition will make that distinction?
  10. Don't forget hanging the ten commandments in the Courthouse. I wish Mr. Stout the best, and I really hope that he is the exception to the rule that says that the more an individual tries to impress you with their holiness, instead of their ability, the more they are trying to hide. He has a few weeks to prove that wrong.
  11. Probably not. We needed somebody immediately that could hit the ground running and represent the people of Paulding for a few more weeks without trying to make a name for himself. That's all. In November we will need somebody that can not only vote the way the majority of District 19 residents would like, but who can put forth ideas that can help the state as a whole and our area in particular. Those may not be the same person. Not to slight the winner tonight, but I hope that we have more time to get to know the candidates in the November election. We will at least get a glimpse of wh
  12. After tomorrow it will be laughable. "Mr. Stout....Adam Murphy CBS Atlanta ....Is it true that all Paulding County Republicans use condoms for bookmarks in their Bibles? Is there a special school for philandering Representatives from Paulding County, or is it just part of the fabric of the society?
  13. Wow....Give yourself a bullet. I don't know what you and Pt have there, but that was uncalled for. I agree that there was no need to post the unprovable allegation. The response says it all. And if you think the rants on the AJC site are bad for Paulding, just wait for all of the TV coverage if Mr. Stout wins. There will be three satellite trucks parked in front of his house by sun up. We can all place a sign on our cars above the "Paulding" license plate that says "I'm a hypocritical bible thumping redneck". Because that is going to be the implication in all of the reports. You can
  14. While I can not speak to the accuracy of that added sentence, I can say that it did not appear in Mr. Stout's first known written statement on the subject HERE It is a recent addition.
  15. Generally speaking, if you mail a first class letter anywhere in Metro Atlanta it will be at any other Post Office in Metro Atlanta in time to be delivered the next day. Whether or not it is delivered that day is up to the destination Post Office and how far behind they are. Theoretically there should be no difference between mailing it in Hiram or Lilburn. Some do process mail within their zip code. You will see a separate mail slot inside the building that says something like "local mail only" if they do.
  16. You could probably get more sleep in a fire station. My friend's brother was a "ladies man". He owned a motorcycle shop and always had the best ummmmmm...herbal refreshments. My buddy and I went to high school and built race cars and custom dune buggies so we seldom had time to recreate other than to race. It was actually a very good time in my life even though I didn't have a lot of money to spend. We sold our business two years later and paid for almost 2 years of college each.
  17. My first place was a mattress on the floor of a converted sun porch in a house built in 1925 in Melbourne Florida. I was 16 and moved in with my best friend/business partner and his brother. We shared rent and utilities which without heat or air conditioning was about $250 per month total. The living room furniture was 2 bean bag chairs with duct tape patches, a torn pleather sofa, a wooden cable reel for a coffee table, a portable radio, a portable record player, and a 13" B&W TV that picked up one channel. We had about 4 plates total and maybe six glasses, none of which matched.
  18. I shop wherever I am at the time. Sometimes it's more convenient to shop in Paulding, sometimes Douglas, sometimes Cobb, sometimes Fulton or Gwinnett. I would say that I shop in Paulding, Cobb, and Douglas evenly, with others occasionally.
  19. This is the exact same practice that the administration is publicly calling greed at companies like Goldman and AIG. There are two huge differences in the GM situation. The Federal Government is part owner of GM along with the UAW, and have seats on the board. They have the physical power to determine the size of the salary and bonus at GM. They chose to give Mr. Whitacre a compensation package that they have called greedy elsewhere. Secondly, the compensation packages at AIG, Goldman, et.al. were protected by the Dodd ammendment to the TARP statute. The GM CEO's salary has no such statut
  20. I chose not to reprint the allegation because first it was anonymous and details are unverifiable. Second, such details are not material to any character reflection that a past affair and subsequent admission may or may not have in a particular voters mind. To publish them would serve no useful purpose whatsoever.
  21. You actually made my point. Why administer the FST, except to use in court, if the intent is to administer the breathalyzer regardless of the results of the FST all along? As to implied consent, I do believe that he told me that I could refuse the breath test, but my license would be suspended. I don't remember exactly because I knew that I was sober. I do not believe that I was given the option of refusing the FST. It was my belief at the time that it was mandatory.
  22. As some of you know. I thought long and hard about whether or not to post this. Without going into any detail, I will say that in as much as one's fidelity to the person that they have pledged their undying love to goes to the quality of their character, as has been discussed numerous times here, it may be a factor in the minds of many voters, regardless of when it occurred. The transgressions in question were not those of a child. Mr. Stout claims to be a changed man, and I applaud him for being open on the subject. The fact is, that character does count. I will not pass judgment on Mr
  23. I've been through a roadblock coming back from the lake with a car full of miscreants. Fortunately, I was both the boat operator and the driver, since I don't drink. I was unfortunate enough, however to have had the better portion of a Budweiset spilled on my shorts by someone who shall we say, lost his sea legs. I was asked to step out of the car and bring my paperwork with me, which I did. I was placed in handcuffs "for officer safety" and detained at the rear of a cruiser for about a half hour while the testing officer tested other drivers and they were lead off one by one to the pad
