  1. Allegations Surface Against District 19 Candidate Comments Attributed to Candidate Acknowledge Past Infidelity On the webpage of the local affiliate of a national news site, in the comments section below the article, there is a conversation in which comments attributed to the candidate and his wife answered accusations of a past infidelity. The infidelity is reported in those comments to have occurred while he was married to his first wife some years ago. It is further acknowledged in those comments attributed to the candidate and his current wife, that the alleged infidelity was the
  2. You are ultimately responsible. That's why the IRS took all of Willie Nelson's worldly belongings instead of his accountant's.
  3. yup. All $2,000 of it. what's that, barely over 1% of the average valuation? Big woop.
  4. I would never do it. This is a big risk that you are taking for a friend. It's your choice, but there are several ways in which this deal can go south, and you will not only be out an automobile and some cash, but you will lose a friend. The only way that I would even consider it, would be to go with the friend in person to pay off the loan and get the title right then on the spot, even if it means a car trip out of state.
  5. Passed that one right along to the Mrs.
  6. ....and were only pursued because the local DA was running for office and thought that such a sensational trial would make his political career.
  7. It's as close as your garbage can left on the curb, a cigarette butt you threw out, a flake of skin, a kleenex, or a glass you drank out of at a restaurant. This tells you a couple of things: 1 ) It is difficult to commit a crime against a person without leaving some kind DNA evidence. It's not just for blue dresses any more. 2 ) If LE strongly suspects you of a crime and wants to, they can already get your DNA without a warrant.
  8. You are assuming that they will somehow bank the actual bodily fluid, not the DNA profile. What they usually save is not your actual DNA, it's your DNA Profile, a pattern of varying length bands on a piece of film. This is useful only in identity and inheritance matching. They are interested in the sequence which identifies you, not if you have a specific gene for say Huntington's, which can not be ascertained from your 13 VNTR Loci profile.
  9. Swabbing the inside of your cheek is removing part of your body? As far as knowing more about you from DNA, what could they possibly want to know that they don't from an arrest record. They even have your picture to go along with the fingerprints. I can't see the LE community using your DNA for some as yet undescribed nefarious purpose, that sounds a bit far fetched, and well beyond any possible purpose that they could have for data banking a bunch of lines that look like a UPC Code. Their job is to solve crimes, not build a better human being or look for cancer.
  10. When you are arrested for anything, you are fingerprinted. Those fingerprints are entered into a database and are never removed, even if you are found not guilty of the crime you were charged with. Every time LE checks fingerprints against that database, your fingerprints will be checked for a match. If you have ever been arrested, your fingerprints have been checked thousands of times. I have to ask. What's the difference between fingerprints and DNA?
  11. There is more to that bill if it's the one that I'm thinking of. It will also change some of the "lie" regulations. I think it needs to be discussed.
  12. If and when Karen Handel pushes through a fair tax for the state, this won't be an issue.
  13. Words can't describe the sacrifice and the great service this young man and his entire family have given to the nation and her people. Jason and his family has our deepest sympathy and eternal gratitude.
  14. You can get a ticket for obstructing traffic, even if you are driving the speed limit. Just because you are obeying one law, doesn't mean that you are obeying them all. You are absolutely correct. The law says that slower traffic should move right. There is no mention of the speed limit in the proposed new law, while the existing lane discipline law does make an exception for drivers going at the posted speed limit and unable to safely move to the right. In other words, the current law says that you don't have to speed to get out of the way, but you still need to move over when possible.
  15. Well The Greenbriar was outed several years ago and has since become a tourist attraction. "Visit the former U.S. Government Relocation Facility, commonly known as the Bunker. Public tours are available." The Bunker As for 2012, it's like starting to count to infinity. You begin to wish you hadn't started, and you have to stop somewhere even if you aren't done. GD is probably right.
  16. The average Atlanta gas price is $2.46. One week ago it was $2.48. The station that you speak of was obviously involved in a localized "price war" with other stations in the area if they were selling below market at $2.38. You were fortunate to have had the opportunity to buy at 11 cents below market, and now you are paying market price.
  17. He's having two stents placed according to Channel 5 news. This will be harder to recover from since he has had previous CAD surgery. Sorry to hear this.
  18. Really sorry to hear this. I will keep my ears open.
  19. Posted the link for you: Jalapeno Joe's Website
  20. Welcome to Pcom Daniel. Where exactly are you located ? Do you have a menu that you can post, or a website to refer us to?
  21. NE I'm sorry that the court made a mistake. I hope that you get an explanation. I would say that any proof your son has that he SATISFACTORILY COMPLETED his community service will be important to take with you. It is my understanding that juvenile files are AUTOMATICALLY sealed unless the case is still open. The most likely reason that the court may think that the case is still open is if they believe, perhaps inaccurately, that your son did not complete his sentence. I'm sure that you will get it straightened out. People make mistakes. Good luck.
  22. I've seen other reports that said the snow would be from Macon southward. That just shows you that they don't have a reliable track yet since the system is just developing and starting to move. Maybe they will know more by noon.
