  1. If one applies in person, they TAKE ALL PAPER WORK REQUIRED, and is handed in on the first visit, the county has 30 days to make a determination as to wheter the applicant is approved or not and for what amount. When a person applies for food stamps online, there is no case worker to say I need this or I need that. IF, the application is done online, in goes to DOWNTOWN ATLANTA. By the time Atlanta gets around to review the application, 2 or 3 weeks have already passed and when it gets to Paulding County DFCS, it's probably going to be another week or 2, because everyone is so backed up,

  5. Couldn't you file some type of noise complaint, kind of like a barking dog complaint????? I know I'd hate to have this kind of issue!! Our somewhat, new neighbors, play their radio loud, holler & scream at the children, talk loud and I mean ugly words, outside too!!!!!!!!!! I sure will be glad when their lease will be up. I'll be more glad to see the 4 wheelers go. Our s/d, at least the front side is quite or I should say WAS quiet until they moved in but, it won't be long.
  6. Thank you for your post. I'm glad to see someone thought this was a serious thread!!!!
  7. Funny you should post this, just before I saw this thread, a gust of wind kind of pushed our storm door all the way shut.

  12. Just for the fun of it, I'll say 138..............But, it's not like we ever win anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Did they have their property surveyed "before" cutting any trees down? Just curious. I'd call the place of business that surveyed your land to see exactly "what" easement means, is it on your property or not?
  14. Were you talking about the Arby's in Dallas or Hiram?
  15. You can't even block "restricted" calls on a land line. All you have to do is dial *67 and your call (out going call of course) will come up "restricted" or "blocked".
  16. Are you talking about the $250, one gets (the beneficiary, actually) after death?? It's only for a person who had/have minor children, at the time of their death, if I am not mistaken. I did NOT get it for my Mother because, she did not leave any minor children. also, my Mothers funeral was less than $10,000 and she had a nice casket and funeral. Yes, she was insured!!!!!!!!
  17. Our dish network bill, just last month went, up and it was only like .30 and but, you'd better believe, I checked that bill over twice, to see WHY it went up. If any bill comes in that doesn't look right, why would you NOT check out your bills?????? Dish Network still seems like the lesser evil of the two. jmho
  18. They even have a petting zoo, if you are interested in checking it out. Not sure about it during the winter, oooops spring. Drive careful and have fun!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. If you go to Dillard, you really should eat at the Dillard House, the price is about $20-$25 per person but, it's quite an experience!! The food is AWESOME!!

  21. Same here and those little square bowls with the blue lids and the cabinet rack, wasn't worth a flip and most certainly NOT worth the $20 they costed.
  22. I've almost been hit 2 times this week. The first time was when a man ran a red light and missed me by inches. When I saw that he wasn't going to stop, I sped up. He was in a white dooley truck with garage doors on the trailer, probably from DBCI, the truck was going west on Hwy 78. My life flashe4d before my eyes, I had to pull over and call hubby, I was sooo shaken up!! Then yesterday, a man in a blue truck was trying to get in my lane on Hwy 5 in Douglasville. Luckily, there wasn't anyone in the right turn lane and I was able to get in that lane instead of getting hit. Maybe I need to stay
  23. We got up at 5:20 am , very unlike us to be up that early....anyway, we went to Collinsville, AL to the big flea market. We saw a lot of dogs, chickens, baby chicks, dogs, goats and a couple of miniature ponies, did I say dogs and chickens? They had a lot of pretty plants, shrubs and trees, also. Went to Gadsden, we found Noccalula Falls Park, we walked around there and took some pictures, then we went on to eat at the Fish Market, which was by the Coosa River, it was very very pretty in that little area. We went to the local Mall and walked around for a little while and headed home. It was
  24. We have had Dish Network for 8 yrs and the only problem we've ever had was with the receiver. The receiver would delete some of the movies we had recorded. I fussed and fussed, they finally agreed to give (without charge) me a new receiver when I told them I wanted credit for all the months, I wasn't getting the service I was paying for. I told them that was like theft of services but, reversed. We got a new receiver and it was the one for the whole house. But, other than that we haven't had ANY trouble with Dish Network. When it rains it hardly ever goes out, if and when it does, it's onl
