  1. To me, they appeared to be about an acre (at least) away from the neighbors. Probably like upwards of $400k price range, just my unofficial guestimation!!
  2. From what I could tell on the news, the houses were NOT that close together. They said that 18 other houses were damaged and I forgot how many they said were not fit to even go back into, to retrieve any of their belongings. I'm just glad no one was home. The gas must have been leaking mighty hard and fast, for a considerable length of time, for it to have caused that much of an explosion and that much damage. Wow, just Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The explosion was felt over a mile.
  3. We went byu there today about 3 pm and not a soul in sight!!!! But, if we see or hear anything else, I will post it.
  4. I'd call an appliance dealer and ask a technician!!!
  5. I haven't seen this in quite some time. When I was an nonpaying member, I know it was there then but, with being a paid member, I shouldn't be getting this, right???
  6. YOU'RE WELCOME!! We love it, it gives us something to do, it's never a dull moment, It gets us out of the house and we get to meet new people. What more could you ask for??
  7. $2.13, still????????? When I was waiting tables from 1994 to 2000 the wages for wait staff was $2.13, I thought for sure they would have raised the wages by now. If you get paid regular wages and have a tip jar..........oh well, if yo need gas money or whatever, get a second job or a better job!!!
  8. The waving dressed up person is a walking advertisement for Liberty Tax Preparers. They have this one young lady who really entertains the passerby people. I always honk and give her a thumbs up!!
  9. You said that right!!!!!!!!!!!! If this person is on a fixed or low income, tell them to call Tallatoona, they have a prescription program. or try............ countyrxcard.com and don't forget to add the www.
  10. This is a BIG THANK YOU, for Dr George and Jalepeno Joe's. What an awesome gesture!! Helping Hands is the main food bank for Paulding County, in my opinion!!! I am a volunteer there and it is very rewarding for me. I have been volunteering there, for almost 2 yrs and I just love it!! The General volunteers there, also. He has been there for over 1 yr now. We, at Helping Hands, have been seeing some hard times just like everyone else, the food supplies are getting low and the monetary donations are fewer than we've seen in years. We can use all the help and donations we can get.
  11. Hubby called at 6:30 and said about 6 to 8 cars were at Villa Ridge s/d, on Ridge Rd
  12. We were on our way to Orlando, when I saw this out of the corner of my eye. I quickly grabbed my camera and started shooting, before it was all gone. We get to our rental house and I mentioned this to my daughter and she said there is one in the back yard so, I grab the camera again and this was miles apart and hours later, what's the chance of that happening again??? Two in the same day, WOW!!!!

  14. Tell this person, (s)he can go to Helping Hands for assistance, if they need to!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. Dealer!!!!! My daughter had a van, it had a new transmission that went out, it was installed by a transmission shop, it was still covered under the warranty but, she had to take it to Thornton Chevrolet. The little hometown shops do not work for FREE. The dealers are required to do recall work, hometown shops are not.
  17. I had a Sunbean Mixer and it was the stand kind. I had it for about 5 yrs, I rarely used it (since I can't cook) and probably no more than 15 times in the whole time I've had it but, it broke somehow and it can't be repaired. Anywho, it's garbage now and the Kitchen Aid came at the most convenient time!!
  18. Can't they at least, show you where the fuses are locatetd and pull off the panel??
  19. They are NOT hard to remove and replace!! The hardest part is "finding" the fuse location, or at least it use to be easy on the "older" cars. I had my share of working on cars, in my younger days!
  20. Well, the more I think about it, by the time I paid for all of those magazines, I probably could have bought me one a long time ago! jk
  21. I use to get all kinds of magazines and I'd always get stuff for cook book offers and you know........ preview for 30 days and if you decide to purchase the cook book(s) you were entered to WIN (yeah right ) a free Kitchern Aid Mixer. Well I got a letter last week notifying me I had won, yeah right , I/We never win anything!!!!! Hubby goes out to get his newspaper this morning and he yells at me, you have a box on the front porch. I go to the front door to see what the box was and ...................It was my New Kitchen Aid Classic Mixer, WOO HOO TO ME!
  22. Well, I am GLAD to hear that the Rome Office is taking some of the caseloads, that is Awesome!!! I know it will lessen the burden on the Atlanta Offices and a WOO HOO for the clients, that got their food stamps early!!! Remember, anyone who IS on Food Stamps or some other type of Federal Assistance, will qualify for a SafeLink Phone, cell phone with about 68 minutes per month. Not too sure about a home phone but, it doesn't hurt to call and ask about it.
