  5. Walmart has Bar-S-franks, like 30 in a pack for about $4. They are the thick ones and may even be bun length. The beef hot dogs, they are too tough and thick, and I have a hard time swallowing them. Nevermind the steak taste. I want a hot dog to taste like a HOT DOG, not a steak! Buns may be cheaper at Walmart, if you are not close to a bakery. But, if you do want the beef hot dogs, Sam's has a box of 80 for about $12-$15 Good Luck and have fun.
  6. There are 8 closed threads on page 2. Maybe this needs to happen a little more often????

  10. I think there wasa missing, older white lady a couple of days ago. I just caught the tale end of the segment and thst's all I know, I saw her pictuure, she had short blond hair. I sure hope she is OK!!
  11. That sounds pretty good, I fixed some Gumbo last week, except I added some shrimp, to the chicken & sausage. I cooked too much and had to throw some out. It was my first time ever trying this recipe, so I had no idea how much it would make. Next time I will be more mindful of how much of what I put into the pot and maybe not make it soo spicey.
  12. I don't believe the Magic Jack (or the like) is compatiable with an alarm system, if you have one.
  13. Earlier, I saw on Chnnel 2, that the IRS is now taking applications through an agency, let me look on here for a minute. I didn't find it but, it was on Ch 2, the job fair was being held at some goodwill bldg in College Park. I don't remember the days but it was from 10-2, I think. You could call them (Ch 2) and ask.
  14. I saw on the news the other day that Ryla, in Kennesaw was taking applications for Census workers. I don't know why they are doing the application process but, that's what I saw on the news.
  15. I think there is a clause that entitles a person to cancel a contract, within 3 days???? This was the way it use to be, years ago, pretty sure it's not for auto sales, though. Can anyone verify this for me? We have dish and right now we are OK with them. But we would "never" renew our contract with them. It's only $60 a month for about 150 channels.
  16. I had the Endometrial Ablation done back in 2003, it has been the greatest thing since fried bologna. Haven't had any issues since!!! Your procedure is kind of similiar to the Endometrial Ablation. Good Luck and I hope this takes away your pain and problems.

    Question:

This must be something new. I've never heard of a "jail" letting anyone out to look for a job and then be re-jailed. This sounds like a halfway house or maybe some type of re-entry program, either way. It doesn't seem fair to the general public, jm2cw. It's so hard for a regular person to get a job, now a days and then someone like this has even less of a chance of finding a job, in turn he'll be drawing unemployment for a while, while he is still somewhat got a roof over his head and food to eat, where as regular people on unemployment, have to basically beg for food and beg for help to pay
  19. Am I missing something here???? The picture maybe?? What you doing Willis????????
  20. Mrs G

    Question:

You are not allowed a cell phone in jail! They take everything from you when you are booked in. Even if he was just on house arrest, he still would not be eligiable (sp?), because, more than likely, he would not be able to be "actively seeking employment".
  21. Mrs G

    Question:

You must be actively seeking employment, meaning you havee to apply for a job, 4 times a week minimum and with him being incarcerated, he would NOT qualify. Furthermore you have to "call in" and certify (right term?)every Sunday night and I'm pretty sure he has to call out collect and the dept of labor won't accept a collect call. Whomever was doing his Sunday nights calls should be prosecuted also. That's aiding and abedding (sp?) He/they needs to be reported!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Darlene, I'm pretty sure that's a Federal Law but, it could just be on a state level. I'm pretty darn sure
  22. Welcome Project7smiley, we tried Cheeseburger Bobby's and they were NOT good, they ONLY cooked the meat WELLDONE and the french fries were so salty, we couldn't eat them. Needless to say we never went back. We like a good hamburger every now and then and we'd love to try this place, next time we are in the area. We live south so, it may be a little bit before we can get there. I really don't care for fresh cut fries either but, may give them a try anyway. Thanks for the info.
  23. This is The General, I forgot you drive one of those BIG GMC tanks
  24. I have an uncle that lives in Maryland and he shoveled snow for 2 days, he had over 24" and he had to go get bird food. Not me, those little birdies would have had to wait!!!!
