Regardless "IF" the landlord pays the mortgage or not, YOU still have an obligation to fulfill your end of the bargain (the lease). I'd just move out ASAP, you never know IF he's teling you the truth about "when" he paid the last payment. Yes, you could come home from work one day and find your stuff in the yard and I really don't think there's "ANYTHING" you can do!!!
