Are these the controlling dudes I heard about on the commercial? Sheesh. I'd drop-kick his butt into next week.

Ooh - I didn't know this...apparently there's a yearly re-enactment of the battle! See here: http://www.custerslaststand.org/ Here is the linky to the national park: http://www.nps.gov/libi/index.htm This is located in SE Montana.

Hey, that's awesome, OP! If you're ever in Montana, stop by the park where the great battle took place. The Indians truly did skunk his butt. But it wasn't as easy as it always sounded to me. The plains are undulating through that area, and as you look out across the terrain from this hill, you can see a long, long way, BUT you don't realize you're not seeing into the little dips and quirks in the terrain, which is where the Indians hid to sneak up on him. I still think his arrogance did him in (no offense), but it was fascinating to see where everything took place.

New here but already in need of prayers...

AWESOME NEWS!!! I'll pass that along to the folks I asked to pray for the tiny tot. -
HAHAHAHAHAHAA That would be funny. hahahahaa

I haven't watched this thing in YEARS, but my family members do, so I still recognize the story lines. Cain's father used to be Robert Scorpio on General Hospital.

Hang in there, buddy. I'll keep you in my prayers. Vaca from pcom might be just the thing.

The candle idea sounds decent. In between, you might try sprinkling baking soda on it, leaving it for a day or so, and vacuuming off. A friend gave me a LOVELY custom-made bed covering, and she smoked. I draped it over the lawn furniture on my screened-in porch for a month or so...this was during the winter, and it worked. HAHAHAHAHA to "fine Corinthian naugahyde". hahahahahahahaaa

Watch out, yo! Peoples be callin' you The Warden, like Otis when Aunt Bea made him work while he stayed with them when the jail was full. RE: litter - even if it's picked up every day, it's truly astonishing how quickly it gets dirty again. I used to live in Smyrna on a street where a lot of people walked. I would pick up trash from my yard every other day and usually got 1-2 grocery bags full. I found everything except anything valuable, including a dirty diaper. ?!?!?!?

Even if it were lip-synced (Whitney's version), she didn't mess it up moving her lips to it. And I'm not convinced it was pre-recorded. I've read the same thing, but if it was fake (and I'm picky about these things), it was about the best I've ever seen.

Oh, whew. I was afraid this was a frequent occurrence there.
-
Well, she for damn sure wouldn't make it on her singing or songwriting skills.
-
Ooh, that's good to know.

If I Say Something Is New To Me.; Are YOU Offended?
mei lan replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I'm not easily offended, so no. But I can't think why those words would be offensive to someone who's easily offended. But whatever. Of course, you DID offend me in that other thread with your anger management class talk that just pissed me right off. -
Is this a...er...longstanding problem? Do you need to move? I think I'm scared for you.

It's crossed my mind that Patsy Cline prolly wouldn't go very far in the music bidness today, either. (Lord, what a talent.)

Thanks for the correction. SW is fun, AND on-time, so I'm looking forward to the new flights!

OK, I watched the video below of Mandy Barnett singing since I was heretofore unfamiliar with her, and it's now clear to me why she hasn't gone farther in the music bidness than she has: a) She's true country; 2) She doesn't just yell a song, but sings it with proper modulation and style; c) She doesn't have blonde hair out of a bottle; and THIS ONE IS MOST IMPORTANT c) She doesn't flash her boobage. See? I know things. PS - Little Jimmy Dickens always makes me laugh, and Bill Anderson's hair always skeers me. PPS - Mark, you have good taste in singers. Here's t

Yeah, count me as a Delta-hatah. Arrogant, pokey, you name it. I prefer Southwest...when their takeover of America West (is that the one?) is complete, they should be flying out of Atlanta. Woo hoo!

Well, it's not unheard-of for colleges to want to...shall we say, under-emphasize certain things? Google "college crime cover-up". I'm sure not every college would cover something up, but you can see how they would not want it known that crime occurred on their premises.

One can NEVER go wrong with a movie that has Colin Firth in it.

ButterflyLion, this just pisses me right off. :angry2:

Spin off from "Christina Aquilera, Super Bowl Performance"
mei lan replied to BubbaDoo's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I do not hesitate to say that mechanically and training-wise, I am a better singer than most so-called professionals. (I think my voice most closely compares to Vanessa Williams or Natalie Cole.) But I cannot think of a time when I have EVER EVER EVER been satisfied with a performance. EVER. (Did I say ever?) I am definitely my own harshest critic. And I have made my share of flubs with lyrics, as well. But not as a long-time professional singing the national frickin' anthem in front of hundreds of millions of people, and not while I was scatting every syllable to death. FWIW, I hav -

What rio said. In spades. The girl's a professional and has been singing forEVER. She goofed. See other thread for the link to the Whitney video from years ago...now THAT is how it should be done.
