Pownall returned his $38,000 salary to the county. If he were going to extort it back, why wouldn't he just keep it in the first place. This whole thing reeks more than yesterday's fishmonger's trash.

It was a bold move, indeed, and I don't know what to think about it. However, what mindset would kids of that age have to defy a sitting judge to have lunch with their father in a courthouse cafeteria? His visits were to be supervised...what did they think would happen? And apparently there is no argument that she denied his visitation. A mess, all the way around. As low states, the KIDS are always the ones who suffer. Even if they get therapy now, their lives will be forever marked (and marred) by this mess.
