  1. When scrolling through these names and come across the more common names like David and Edward and Michael, you get a sense that you could be flipping through a small-town phone book. God bless them and their loved ones every one. I will NEVER FORGET. Thank you for posting, as always, dear heart.
  2. I did the generic ink thing till the pack that didn't fit the printer and I couldn't send it back because they didn't guarantee it'd fit. :smh:
  3. I've had several and I just stick with HP now. Never had a problem. (Except the frickin' outrageously priced ink! Which is pretty much everybody, I think.) I've had mine for 5 years...6000 is the #, I think. It's an ink jet but if I put it on high quality printing, you just about cannot tell the difference.
  4. Then you would have to separate the true refugees from ISIS types. I'm all for taking say, 25,000 or so...right after Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, et al, take the same number. (They are taking in zaro.)
  5. Wow...you went through it. Glad you're in remission!
  6. Agree with ohmygosh - TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR MEDICAL LIFE. If you think something sounds wrong or off, say something. Insist on a follow-up test or a sooner date or whatever. Get another opinion if you wish. But YOU are the customer. THEY are working for YOU, not doing you a favor by letting you breathe the same air as they. Two cancer stories; bad one first. Cousin, age 45, was diagnosed with aggressive bladder cancer a year ago and had it out by a well-regarded urologist. Urologist (unbeknownst to anyone at the time) had almost no experience with ileostomies and botched that part of
  7. Hilda seems kinda nutty and maybe not quite all here. Hmmm... I like it.
  8. They suck every piece of information out of you and your computer they possibly can, like a giant magnet. For my search engine, I use startpage.com, which is powered by Google, but it blocks them from getting information from your computer. Chrome is made by Google, as you're probably aware. I just don't trust them, and while I will use their map function, I don't sign in to Google to do it. Apparently a lot of people don't mind, and I'm sure Chrome is an excellent product, because they make great stuff. But I don't trust 'em.
  9. I'm sticking with Firefox even with the Flash problems. I am not giving anything up to Google if I can help it (although they still have the best maps).
  10. 2nd woman comes forward claiming they had unprotected sex. WHO DOES THAT WITH A STRANGER?!?!? Also, Josh has reportedly gone missing from the rehab place.
  11. I just have no words. Geez frickin' Louise. They might have had the wrong house, but by God, that vicious brindle boxer won't hurt anybody in the future. (Yes, my head is exploding, which I didn't think possible anymore.) OH, and it wasn't even an I saw a man pointing a gun at people call...it was an I saw a weird guy standing in a yard call. :smh:
  12. Sorry...she can say she's a good mother all she wants, but I honestly don't know how any mother who's clean and sober could drive off without her BABY and not realize it. Call me judgey if you want, but I truly do not get it. And yes, I've been in the throes of depression so dark that I could hardly function but I didn't forget to feed my cat, much less forget one of my nephews when they were with me. Maybe it's an attention-getting thing like Munchausen by proxy or something. IDK. And sometimes, I think it might be deliberate for whatever reason. But good mothers do not go off and le
  13. Yeah, that second thing you said. Arrogant and stupid.
  14. Semantics. He died for all mankind back to the beginning of time and forward to the end of time...the Church is made up of those who accept Him and is referred to as His bride. In the Ephesians passage, that's what I was referring to.
  15. Black SUVs...hmmm...sounds to me like Criminal Minds has uncovered a major burial site for a serial killer. Maybe they are storing all the corpses they dig up in the containers. And then that is probably drawing the zombies.
  16. Yes, I knew he was head of the SBC, but I couldn't find any connection. Thanks, TP. I know a man whose wife has been in an insane asylum almost the entire time they've been married (surely 30 years by now), and his every free moment outside of his demanding job is spent with her or at church. This whole well she drove him to it is CRAP. That's the abuser's excuse...if you didn't do x I wouldn't have to hit you. Riiiight. I won't say any me because while I am an unapologetic evangelical Christian, I am also also a recovering Baptist, and anything more I say won't be nice. Here's the o
  17. Varies by church...Baptists aren't a heirarchy system like RC, Presbyterians, et al. Where did you find they go to this church, and about the recent sermon? I wasn't able to find anything. And poor Anna...it's been suggested that she blames herself...just what she needs, more piling on...
  18. I think people like this can change, but they have to hit rock bottom first, and I don't know if he has or will. I doubt he's a sex or porn addict, although I could be wrong. He has grown up in that mindset that men are #1 and women aren't and while I'm sure he's parents never imagined this would be the end result, here you have it. Legalism (callin' it like I see it here) NEVER brings about good. I saw it in a high-ranking church official's family a number of years ago. He ruled his lovely family with an iron hand, and from the time the eldest of four kids was a young teenager, it was no
  19. OK, y'all are just scarin' me now.
  20. I like Robin McGraw...she's got a good head on her shoulders.
  21. I've never seen that show but I remember your talking about it. Jim Bob has always given me the willies, and every single time I see Michelle, the words STEPFORD WIFE go screaming through my mind to the exclusion of all else.
