I didn't know about the two mental health reports from when he was 4. Evil, indeed.

Yes, I do remember your story. Completely depressing. -

The dude who delivered the righteous beat-down has been suspended and kicked off the football team. No good deed goes unpunished. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3248409/Teen-comes-defense-blind-classmate-beaten-school-bully-suspended.html -
Oh, I agree...I don't see him taking a position like that at all.

Oh, honey - I am just so sorry. Dealing with elderly folks who are bound and determined to ruin their lives is a frustration I'd just as soon not experience again. It's like dealing with a stubborn toddler (but I repeat myself) who can walk and drive. I had occasion to talk to APS (Adult Protective Services) several years ago about a 90yo lady (she lived on her own and could get around fine) I knew who was making decisions that were putting her life in danger. They advised that there was nothing anybody could do if they're in their right mind and in control of their lives. They calle -
Not true. The Constitution says the House has the right to choose their Speaker, but it does not spell out a procedure or any other qualifications. Traditionally, it has been someone from the House, and it would be a historical departure to name an outsider. But it could be done. http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/explainer/1998/11/can_anyone_be_speaker_of_the_house.html

Trump is the first choice for this hard right leaner. Thrilled to see Boehner go. He's leaving because he realized he wouldn't have enough votes to survive a challenge to his position in a month or so. Not to worry, though...he'll get a nice cushy job as a lobbyist, and keep his nice cushy retirement and his nice cushy health care (which is different from the health care us peons get).

What a tool. He's since lowered the price to double what it was, which tells me there was no sound reasoning for what he did.

Loved Ferguson. Fallon is ok, but I'm just not into that format. I will say that Fallon's interview with DT was way better than Colbert's. I just didn't think him funny.

Yep, they're back! I read where a math prof has studied the pics and estimated the nest to be wider than a king size bed. Wow!

Pubby's right as to the cause of the mess - the retirement funding and the Congressional freebies. GD's right about technology adding to the problem. Obviously they get money from somewhere because they're perpetually WAY in the red. -

My brother lives in such a subdivision and it's a very nice look. One of his neighbors wiped his mailbox out about a month ago and the replacement cost was about the same. She paid up quickly, though. -

Carroll O'Connor was a much better actor than a lot of folks gave him credit for. I loved In the Heat of the Night. I'm WAY picky about Southern accents and the way Southerners are.portrayed, and I thought he was magnificent. It is a daytime staple on WGN, so I watch it now and again. -

No words.

When I worked for a (slightly paranoid about corporate espionage) Dow 30 company, everybody had to badge in, ZERO exceptions. No metal detectors, but serious security personnel on duty who could intervene if they chose.
