You big dummy...everybody knows you have to build a Death Star in outer space. (Although everybody at IBM - former tenant - used to call the big center building in Wildwood off Powers Ferry the Death Star.) I tried to find a pic, but couldn't. It's s monster...dark in color, maybe 10 stories, odd angles, and a frickin' HUMONGOUS footprint. Man, if you had to go see somebody in another department, you could count on 30 minutes' walk time round-trip.

Cartersville Daily-Tribune now reporting on their FB page that the driver has also died. Very sad. Sounded like two young(ish) guys.

More info on the accident - one-vehicle wreck with one dead, and one in VERY bad shape. Life flight transported the one still living, but had to divert to Cartersville Medical Center instead of continuing to Atlanta Medical Center or Erlanger because he was going into cardiac arrest. Still don't know anything about that, but just drove from Cartersville to Rome on 411, and came across one of the worst wrecks I have EVER seen. Looked to be two vehicles, but they were too mangled to even tell what they were...and they were in the trees on the side of the road. Just south of the river/Macedonia Road. Coroner's van was there, plus popo and fire trucks...can't remember if an ambulance was there or not.

IDK...she's a bit sketchy. I don't trust her. She prolly wants to hog all the canned hams for herself. (Terrible pun intended. )

Not one iota. I'm sorry her life is screwed up but I've seen the damage drunk driving does up close and personal and walking into an ER late at night to identify the body of a loved one killed by drunk driving was not the best evening I have ever spent. And that doesn't even touch on the continuing ramifications of that piss-poor decision.

It won't be in direct competition, though...this is to be their new Fred's Superstore which includes all the regular Fred's stuff and adult bookstore combo. Will also have a special access passage to the tunnels.

Just came south on 411 from Rome to Cartersville and about a dozen cop cars passed headed north on 41 and they were barely touching the ground. I've never seen Bartow Sheriff peeps get excited over much of anything.

Didn't know about the Channel 46 gig...yeah, that might have gone bye-bye. Sound Guy - I have never understood that, either. A person very close to my family served three years in big prison for habitual DUI, and still drove drunk after he got out. If you know you have an arrogant attitude when you're drunk, then put the keys where you can't get them or call a cab to take you to the watering hole.

The other reason is that churches are notoriously hard to work with and very slow to pay. I found the opinion to be pretty standard across the board, which is sad.

Nah...unless they can convince him to testify against her, she's gonna continue livin' the high life. I did think of this - instead of going to the expense of retry in him, they may seek to work a plea deal. I just re-read the story...conviction is overturned be a use the judge improperly allowed mental health records to be admitted into evidence. Still don't understand it, but there will be a new trial or plea deal.

And to think alcohol was involved...I'm shocked! Shocked, I say!

Best I can find on the tires, low, is that all other things being equal, they're replaced every 50-200 landings. Lots of interesting info info didn't really understand, so I'm not gonna post it. I just Googled the topic and got a lot of answers. Also found out psi for airplane tires is 200-300 psi compared to 30 psi for a car.

Glad you clarified...I agree. CC, shooting people is illegal yet the Colorado dude did it anyway. I don't see how a gun law would have stopped him. Not comfortable with the militarization of police depts as a rule, BUT as Zorro says...they need to be able to combat the bad guys with similar weapons. IDK what the answer is.
