  1. Try the following: Windows Vista or Windows 7 With the web browser closed do the following: 1.Hit Windows key and type in cmd (do not hit enter). 2.In the search results that come up, right click "cmd" and run as administrator. When the screen flashes and asks for permission, accept it. 3.In the command prompt, type in ipconfig /flushdns and hit enter. (There is a space between the "g" in "config" and the "/"). 4. Close the cmd box and try going to the sites. Windows XP With the web browser closed do the following: 1.Click "start" and then "run". 2.Type cmd and hit ok. 3.I
  2. Some of my favorite Yogi Berra quotes: Always go to other people's funerals; otherwise they won't go to yours. The future ain't what it used to be. I knew the record would stand until it was broken. If you don't know where you're going, you might not get there. It gets late early out there. It's déjà vu all over again. It's so crowded, nobody goes there. Ninety percent of this game is half-mental. Pair up in threes. When you come to a fork in the road, take it. You can observe a lot by watching.

  5. I always enjoyed Leave it to Beaver, but one of my favorite Barbara Billingsley moments is below.
  6. Give it up. Which one did you get? (We may not hear from JLH in days since a smartphone can be a huge distraction).
  7. Thanks, happy to help. I enjoyed meeting your dad as well - take good care of him. It's always a pleasure helping you. You will have as many computers as me soon!
  8. We think alike. The dedicated video camera may be a dying breed. Lot's TV shows are now using the video capabilities of still cameras for filming. (The entire season finale of House was shot with a still camera last Spring). A helpful video that I found on YouTube:
  9. I have the ATT Android based Samsung Captivate and love it. It's is the first serious ATT Android contender to the iPhone. (I wish I was with another carrier and had more Android choices). My advice to everyone is this: "if you like to tinker with stuff and want unlimited possibilities based on the decisions you make, then get Android". If you are content to be limited to doing what Steve Jobs says you can do and the iPhone meets your needs, get an iPhone". That may sound like a slam against Apple but I don't really mean it that way. Apple has built its company on the concept of producing
  10. That's the first thing I thougt of as well and I'm not even that into my lawn.
  11. I understand. But I'm guessing they want you to steer clear of the ER because it is much more expesive than the other options. One of the reasons that it is expensive is because the insured or others that have the means to pay are subsidizing those that cannot pay. I should think that if ER's were allowed to turn away non emergency situations for those that cannot pay that the cost of service would have to drop and it would be reflected in co-pays.
  12. I think there is a pet cemetery in Douglas county. Yesterday, I was wishing one of our cats had life insurance. I came home yesterday to find Oscar on the roof of my house crying like a baby. I'm not sure how he got up, and apparently he did not remember either. First, I went up on a ladder thinking he would come over and we could both go down together. No such luck as he just stood at the peak of the roof and screamed at me. Next, I went on the roof and the silly cat ran from me. Eventually I got him to come to me and he let me pick him up. As we walked toward the ladder he proceeded to a
  13. Don't forget those that are underemployed. Many people now have jobs now that pay half of what they formerly made.
  14. Isn't there also alot of people that show up in the ER because they have no insurance, nor the means to pay, and the ER will not refuse to treat them?
  15. Ours with UHC is currently $150. I'm scared to see what it will be for next year. The wife is a teacher so we are on the state's plan. I always heard how great the plan was, but it has never been as good as what I had in the corporate world.
  16. Sorry I did not see this post until today, but thanks for the kind words to all of you. (I have been extremely busy doing some mega work on my own computer as well as helping other folks).
  17. I'm a Christian and I can't do what's pictured below, so it's not something I have ever considered. Maybe if I converted to another religion? Seriously, I know that there is more to Yoga than putting your body into some challenging positions, but it is the first thing I always think of and something that I'll never be able to do. I think mei lan is probably right: there is a way to do yoga that focuses on Christian beliefs instead of other beliefs.
  18. As for the unlimited concept from Concast (misspelling deliberate), check this out: http://consumerist.com/2010/03/comcast-unlimited-usage-doesnt-mean-unlimited-usage.html
  19. That's like the two famished guys that ate at the "all you can eat" buffet. Eventually the owner kicked them out because they ate too much. When they pointed out the "all you can eat" sign, the owner said "yep, but I'm the one that decides how much is "all you can eat". From the little bit of research I did, it appears that Comcast does not dislose this on any of the pages that attempt to get you to sign up. They do disclose it on a FAQ page along with an explanation. http://customer.comcast.com/Pages/FAQViewer.aspx?seoid=Frequently-Asked-Questions-about-Excessive-Use#notify I have a very
  20. I hope that when I am 84 I'm still able to pick up a gun and defend myself. Heck, I hope I'm just still alive. We all need to have a plan if this happens to us. A gun, can of mace, or something close to the bed we can use to protect ourselves. http://www.ajc.com/n...=rss_news_81960
  21. Maybe we should place our own tariffs on items we import from them? We buy alot more of their stuff than they buy of ours. I could give up buying some of their exports until they see the light.
  22. From the "what will they think of next department": The iPhone/iPod touch has some really neat/useful apps and some not so neat/useful. You'll have to decide for yourself on this one. http://news.cnet.com...g=2547-1_3-0-20
