all these crazy people up all night shopping?
afriendlygeek replied to GipperGirl's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I was up until 2am shopping ONLINE. I never go in a store on Black Friday. -
Neat! Happy Thanksgiving to you.

Sounds like a winner!

I feel for you Mark and unfortunately there are many in your same position. Hopefully you will have a better solution soon, but for now I think you have the best thing available with the MiFi.

I like the fact that streaming is cheaper as there are alot of good movies available. The Roku box, which starts at $60, is a good option for streaming to your TV: http://www.roku.com/

Good to know I'm not the only one.

If one of you still has a camera that works, you could go each chip in and buy a DVD player/recorder for the TV and do it yourself. Once your finished, sell the recorder on pcom to folks that would like to do the same. If you you would like to have it professionally done, give Wolf camera a call.

Never said that it was better - just stating the reality of the situation. I'm all for profiling as it the only logical thing to do. If you find a black guy that has been beat to death in a yard with burning cross and a couple of bed sheets laying around, your investigation needs to be focused on white guys, not black. That is profiling and it just makes sense.
-
I agree with you, but those that were profiled could make the same argument.

You are correct. They have terrorized us to the point of strip searching kids. I've never pictured a terrorist as someone who laughs alot. But if are ever going to laugh, this is the time and they will be laughing at us.

I think the legal standing would be the same as if you allowed your home to be searched without a warrant. It's completely voluntary in that the person chose to fly somewhere. I'm also guessing that there is some language that provides a legal basis for the search in the mice type associated with the ticket purchase.

I would say this is ridiculous, but why restate the obvious. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skkCpnCm7iM

Thanks for the updates. He is on my mind and in my prayers continuously.

Gravy should be considered a beverage.

How did you come up with that? Everyone knows that gravy is a main course! I like potatoes with my gravy. -
No - there's nothing to do and you are at no more risk now than you were before. Just be aware that they will probably continue to send out spam using his name for the next few weeks.

You missed his sarc /sarc tags as I did the first time I read it. I was thinking someone might have been holding a gun to his head making him type and was ready to send a rescue team.

Radio/CD players and CB's need to go as well. Also need to get rid of heating and air along with any type of padded seats since some people get to comfortable and drift off to sleep. No smoking, chewing, chewing gum or drinking coffee. Windows should not be able to roll down either. Governors should be installed to limit the speed to 25mph and no driving after dark, when it is raining or when the sun is rising or setting.

Sarah Palin and Donald Trump?
afriendlygeek replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I don't think you will have anything to worry about as I think it is highly unlikely that either of them will be the nominee come November 2012. (Boy I hope I'm right on this one). -

Very interesting and I wish them well. The last business I would want to own right now would be anything involving print media (dead trees is correct MD). I've lost two of my favorite magazines in recent history due to the growth of the web (Business 2.0 and PC Magazine), which is a trend that will continue. -
This email is sent out millions of times everyday. More than likely it was not sent from his account, but just to everyone in his address book from another account from a company that specializes in spam. If he uses any other type of services, such as Facebook, it may be that account that has been compromised since his friend's email addresses may be listed on their profile page. Since the bad guys probably have all of the addresses stored on their computer now, changing his PW will not stop the emails (but he should do it anyway). Sending an email to all of his email buddies letting them kn
