To me, the most telling fact on this issue is a comment a fire fighter made to me when he stated he hoped a Puckett unit showed up if he was ever injured and needed EMS. He said their personnel are much better/professional than the other companies that work in the area. This is from a guy that works MVAs a lot and deals with the different EMS providers that show up to help and transport.

I guess the biggest question that I have is how the county (or airport authority or whatever) can agree to a 40 year contract without a formal bid process. I always thought that the competitive bid process was supposed to get the tax payer the best value for their $s. You can tell from the video that there was something shady going on. Graham and Austin go and visit the potential company - at that point why would not all the commissioners be discussing the best course of action? Is Graham on the airport authority? Is that why he went on the trip?

feelip, does it not bother you that your post commissioner was clueless on this item when he was sent the information? He is also not part of the in crowd so how can he do anything for you and the rest of the citizens in post 2?

I thought that the bottom line was that Pownall was, in fact, notified regarding deal via email and he ignored it.

My point is that the "citizens wishing to speak" portion of the meeting is not a two-way conversation. You get to make a 5 minute statement - that's it. Rarely have I seen the commissioners change their rules and respond to comments. So, good luck - I applaud you for taking an active part in the system.

I am always quizzing my family on what to do in certain circumstances - anything from "I start having chest pains..." to what items to get when the zombie apocalypse finally hits. I use rechargeable in GPS and transmitter for RC cars. After a while they loose their charge and I just recycle at Home Depot and replace. Red light on your charger should mean something - probably that the battery is bad.

did you see where the survey link can be only used once and should not be shared????

I had a leased modem and then purchased my own. Just returned it and the charge was removed with no issues.

So I watched this and then went and cut the grass. Can't decide that if I was a Post 2 constituent if I would be madder that my representative is clueless (doesn't keep up with stuff going on) or if my representative was not part of the good-old-boy network alive and well in the county with the other commissioners.

Have tried three times to create an account. Process gets to the "security questions" and does not display anything. Tried two different computers and two different browsers. Use the chat function to ask for help. Waited 45 minutes and agent told me to try later..... What a joke.

I am not sure what made it to the final budget, but there was a $250K subsidy in the proposed budget. In the past Clark also got free fuel.

no - not anyone can take the zone - Clark basically has to give it or it has to be taken from them due to non-performance.
