SAVE MONEY Sales tax holiday is 'ON' Aug. 1-2
FreeBird replied to gpatt0n's topic in Paulding County NEWS
My family did some shoping last Wednesday. Had to return some items on Saturday. It was a mad-house at the Woodstock outlets. Found that prices on items we had just purchased had risen since Wednesday just in time to save on sales tax..... I guess it was buyer beware. -
here is a site that shows stations selling this type of fuel: http://pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=GA

National Guard Halts training at airport

We should take up donations for hospitalization of Ms. Patti Smith so she can get some help. I live under the flight path between McCollum Field and Cartersville airport. When stationed there, Emory Flight 3 flew over many times daily. Blackhawks (yes, they are noisy) and other heliocopters fly over the house as well. I work at home and have never been driven to flashbacks of war. -
as mentioned a HDMI cable from laptop to TV will work best. Roku device also works better - certainly easier to "sit down and watch" than having to move the computer, hook it up, log into Amazon, find a movie, and then play....

Paulding Economic Development New on Channel 2 News
FreeBird replied to Jamie Gilbert's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Man, if Chairman Austin could only get the reservoir finished just think of all the water sports tourism we would have as well. JK - great report and good work to those that helped bring those jobs into the county. -
believe me, I only tried to help by suggesting a possible solution. And yes, I have a friend that had to put $3K into some type of leg operation.....

Mr. Maxwell sure is looking out for Paulding County. Can anyone think of any meaningful legislation he has authored?

why would you not want to work with a rescue? I am a foster home for English Pointers. I keep the dog until a suitable home is found for the dog that I am fostering. There is screening involved and the dog will only go to a home with a fence and what is needed to properly care for the breed. Same with English Bulldogs - I am sure they have needs and are not for everyone. A rescue knowledgeable with the breed will give the dogs the highest chance of success in their new home.
-
I would suggest you work with a rescue group - http://georgiaenglishbulldogrescue.org/ They will be able to line up a home that will understand the breed and have a high change of success as they move on to a new home.

I was living in Norcross at the time. I recall all the pine trees bent over to the ground. They all had to be cut down. I don't recall it being that bad. We were a camping family back then and had all the gear to cook and light the house.
-
In Senators Ridge we just had a few flickers of the lights - I guess a tree hit the lines somewhere on our service route. But, it is still on.

Curious - just a note for you that a sentance should not begin with a number. The number should be spelled out. -
I normally cut my own hair. If I do get it cut then normally $2-3.

Mine was not as bad as I expected - $304 for 3300 sq.ft. all electric. Glad I replaced my old heat pump with higher efficiency unit a few years ago.

Non-Ethanol Gasoline - Anyone else burn "Red Gas" ?
FreeBird replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Not really in your area but Enterprise Oil (hwy 41, south of cartersville) and Lee's Grocery at 3rd Army Rd and Hwy 293 both sell the Rec 90 non-ethanol fuel. Both are in Bartow County. also, fogot about this link I had saved a while back: http://pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=GA -
NW Georgia Bypass Toll Road - would it have helped Tuesday?
FreeBird replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I would like to see 61 by pass from maybe north of Cartersville to i-20. 61 would need to be widened to 4 lanes - much like 113 over in Bartow to Rockmart.
