I saw where one of the posters mentioned Zofran. If your child is not allergic to it, this is a MIRACLE drug. My daughter has IBD and this is hands down, the best drug we have EVER used for nausea. If you can get the pill that disolves under the tongue, the stuff works pretty much immediately. Also, for nausea we use room temperature ginger ale; small sips.

AMEN!!!!!!!!! -
We noticed it right after one of those rounds of weather we have been having. Now we check every time we go to COSTCO to see if the houses are still on top of the hill or if they are at the bottom........talk about killing your property value!

We take Marta to Phillips whenever we don't feel like driving to the hockey games. I will tell you the only real drawback with it, the west bound trains are few and far between so be prepared to stand on the platform for quite awhile (unless you get real lucky) and with it being cold just be sure you are bundled up!

We were broken into years ago in our old neighborhood and the police said it was probably contractors that were working in the area and got used to our patterns.....I live on Lakeside and since the bad weather we have had bunches of contractors in the subdivision. I truly hope you are able to find the punks that robbed you. As for us, we are loaded for bear over here and have enough alarms on this house to wake all of our neighbors (which we have LOL)..........it is a sad thing when you have to live like this! Merry Christmas and best of luck to you and your family.

Was just reading about the green ship that just went over to San Diego from Pascagoula. Pretty awesome stuff the Navy is up to!

The students in the Band of Gold showed compassion and courage that many adults would not be able to demonstrate. I sat with several parents from other bands at the competition yesterday and they were truly amazed at how well our kids did with the week they had just endured. I think they were cheering as hard for our band as they did for their own.

Great idea but where are you going to get rink time around here. Only a couple within an hour drive of here to my knowledge.

N. Cobb High Kid on the radio

Two things: You go to the bathroom that your parts go with.......period! Second, if adult folks in the school would have just left this alone for a couple more days it would have been old news. Our schools and society are filled with "characters" of all sorts from all walks of life. I have found that the younger generation is much more accepting, less judgemental than their parents. Much of the dissention that occurs is going to be a result of interaction with the parents and the subsequent trip to school. Of course this is all for naught because he has dropped out of school. -
I am sooo sorry for you!! We are in the process of restoring one right now and my hubby would be devestated beyond belief (of course ours is not driveable yet so they would have a hard time driving off into the night)

OMG that was funny! I snorted at work LOL

I would think it is because of the amount of tax dollar that has been in the cobb schools for years...but I think if you live in cobb county you are being compared to the north fulton schools and so on......

Your Mom should not apply again to FEMA as this will cause problems with their tracking system (I know--I did this cause I got tired of waiting for a call back). She can get other aid available-as in the clean up buckets, etc...........you have taken alot of good pictures and that is what they are going to ask for if anything........as bad as your Mom's house is I just cannot imagine that they would even question anything. My mother-in-laws looked similiar after the hurricane and her grant was enough to repair the house BUT it was not detatched from the foundation. I just feel so sorry for

I dealt with FEMA after Katrina. My Mom lost everything and at 85 had no clue how to deal with all the paperwork involved. I have two pieces of advice for your family. First, be persistent no matter how frustrated you get with the phone calls, seemingly lost information, or red tape. Secondly is directly related to the first, ALWAYS get the first and last name of the person that you are dealing with as well as the department they work in. They are dealing with so many people that I can not even imagine how they manage to keep up. Best of luck to your entire family. Having lost everyt

LAKE SWAN BREACHING DAM IN CARRINGTON POINT
Stuck In Traffic replied to yardmower's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I have been worried about that dam all night......how is it holding up? How much water is coming across the top? I am certainly praying for everyone that lives on the lake (we are on the high side of lakeside drive) -
That is my feeling on this completely. Also, we are talking about a somewhat undeveloped area in comparison to the US. There is the possibility that since the organs are internal that the parents did not know? It is common for athelets not to have a monthly cycle so that would not have given rise for alarm.
