  1. I am DONE cooking for the week.......Chinese and Subway (and a beer--just one cause I gotta go to the office tomorrow)
  2. My shepard is loving it as is the Bischon. Only prob with the little dog is he keeping sinking and having to hop up to get over the snow level again. Quite a sight. Looks like a snow rabbit.
  3. I brought a laptop home so I could work (got a deadline approaching and the client could care less about our snow) cause my boss knows I get trapped out here with the winter weather. Hubby, the bread man, is staying in a hotel near their depot so he will be able to run when they get bread in again...Not tomorrow. I talked to him and he was cooking snacks in the microwave and looking for a movie to watch........sounds a little like a vacation?
  4. My hubby is a breadman and he is out stocking right now. They are also planning a run Sunday night so there should be bread. If just stinks for me because once he leaves tomorrow afternoon I don't know when I will see him again, his area is Sandy Springs so we know he won't be able to get back here if it is bad. Just hoping he remembers to bring my bread home today!
  5. Used Dr. Mclendon for both our girls. Our oldest went to him when he was in the square down in Powder Springs..We would not use anybody else.
  6. Does that mean Captain Sig will be back as well? I read where he said he was leaving if the Time Bandit was gone since they all needed to stick up for each other. Has anyone heard what Captain Phil's sons will be doing this season?
  7. How about Nebo from Dallas Nebo to Highway 92? Seems like I am asking this question on an almost weekly basis in December.
  8. HAPPY FESTIVUS............ITS A HOLIDAY FOR THE REST OF US
  9. I liked them and got set up but I had to laugh, there are over 88000 people attending the event.........and like two hundred of each item........
  10. Hubby called. Said he is on Dallas Highway by Lowes. Made it down Nebo, across 92 to Dallas highway and is headed toward Marietta. Said the ice is patchy, slippery but if you go slow you should be okay. Said he is still driving slow and folks are flying by him...what the heck?
  11. Well he has gone, had no option of waiting any longer. After talking with the PCSO he headed down Nebo toward 92, they thought nebo north to 61 was not a good idea. Will let you know if he makes it since many others are probably going to be headed down that road shortly.
  12. Husband has to get to work. Does anyone have any information on travel from dallas nebo to highway 61 I am just a nervous wreck! Thanks
  13. Which house is yours? I love to drive through on the way to mine (which I did not decorate this year ). and enjoy all the lights. I am so sorry that your decorations were stolen. I just wonder about our neighborhood sometimes, it has really changed.
  14. Will be looking forward to visiting you at your salon.
  15. Same sad story here, just a different location. Final straw after several mix ups that I caught was being told that they had to order a med in that we needed in order to come home from hospital because it was too expensive to keep on hand.......three days to get it in. We got it from Walgreens with no probs or waits. We use the Walgreens at Lost Mountain. LOVE the weekend pharmacist (the only one I have ever dealt with) takes plenty of time to review meds and possible interactions, etc....
  16. They did not strike last week because school was out and there were kids everywhere is my guess. I really don't think they want to run into anybody. In our subdivision (we back up to you guys) they are coming in during the day after the kids go to school and the adults have gone to work.
  17. [ Keep your chin up and remember that your children will remember the time you spend long before they will remember the gifts they did (or didnt) recieve. AMEN TO THAT!
  18. That is a concern of mine as well. The sheriff seems to think it is kids doing this considering the time of day it is happening. There is almost always someone home at my house though they may not be visable from the lower levels of the house. Everyone knows how to use a gun in our home and I fear that one of these robbers will make the wrong decision and come into our house. Shooting someone, even in the defense of ourselves and our property, is not something that I want anyone in our family to have to deal with.
  19. We have had multiple daylight break ins in Carrington Pointe lately.
  20. Didn't Granny live at the house as well? Was she aware of the cover-up that was going on? Have not heard anything about her or any charges against her since the trial started so I was just wondering.
  21. I was in love with him.............one of my first hollywood crushes (well after Blue on High Chaperal and Lil Joe on Bonanza).
  22. If I am going somewhere new to eat I am not going to go somewhere that I have to worry about how affordable I make it. The whole point in trying a new or interesting place is to experience what they are known for, in the case of Aspens, it would be the steaks. Often the early bird menus and prix fixe menus do not have the house specialties. Therefore, it is best to be prepared financialy before making a decision to eat somewhere. What I really find aggrivating are places that will post a menu and no prices (Buckhead Life is famous for this). You then have to nose all over the internet to g
  23. We ate at Aspens for our anniversary. It was very good, but be prepared, it is quite expensive........... (best creme brulee I have ever had!)
  24. try gottadeal.com.......then check the Black Friday tab.
