  1. PSA: can you paulding county folks stock the concession stand so it wont run out of drinks before halftime? I dont think they were expecting the crowed that showed up. Are you sure you weren't at the Douglas County game with us? They ran out of pretty much everything to drink..the crowd was big on both sides and I don't think they were expecting it. It was great though, to see so many fans at the game.
  2. Same here. WOW that was funny!
  3. I'll second, third, and fourth that!!!
  4. We are looking into this for my daughter as budget cuts and reductions in teachers have made it impossible to get into some classes in high school. I want to make sure, though, that the credits are accepted by colleges. Is there one that you know of that fits this? Thanks!
  5. I did this the first time I rode the bus. Only had a general idea of where I lived (this was back in the dark ages so no cell phones or bus communication). The bus driver rode around the area I thought I lived in until he saw my Mom freaking out on the side of the road about her lost child. I knew my address and my bus number (six) from then on.
  6. Had so much fun watching the new Eric last night. Just love his character right now, HATE Bill.
  7. We always eat at Hunts (there is a thread on here recently that talks about it) and spend alot of our time at the state park. There is a Gulf side with great waves and a lagoon that is calm and great for just floating around or snorkeling. The facilities are great and you can watch the planes from the base as well as the boats coming out of the Bay. As far as where to stay, we used to stay at the Osprey every year. It is still there (near Pier Park) and compared to the other beach rates, not too bad. Now we stay at Bay Pointe in a rental that we LOVE. Hope you have a great time. We rece
  8. True but the seafood is decorated just fine for me..Gee I am ready to make a road trip!
  9. I will second that. Great place, good prices, and plenty of food!
  10. Working in retail most of my life and seeing many, many spills we never charged the customer for anything that was broken. I was personally involved in two very interesting ones, though. Right out of college I was working with a building supply company and managed to drop a case of varnish on the second floor of a warehouse. Of course the cans busted open and of course there were slatted wood floors (we sold many beautiful leaded glass doors at quite a discount over the next few weeks). And my favorite, one night while closing at another quite large building materials store my forklift dri
  11. Your family is in our thoughts, our hearts, and our prayers. Debbie, Jim, Jamie, and Morgan Ott
  12. Spending money to ice a good product and advertising your team both inside and outside the arena are necessary to get folks interested in hockey when they have not grown up with it. The ASG thought they could run the team on a dime store budget... I just hope the team has owners that care about them now. They really are a great bunch of young guys.
  13. Chainsaw, as fellow sth our family is just sickened by this entire mess. I wish nothing but the best for the Thrashers and nothing but the worst for the ASG. I will attend NHL games when on the road but I will never spend another dollar in Phillips or on the Hawks until the ASG are no longer a part of either area. They got the last dollar they will ever get from me. Btw, you don't know me by this name but our seats were behind yours one year. Will miss seein you at the barn.
  14. I so wanted to give you a plus one on this but there was no plus/minus thingy on yours for some odd reason (must be your troops again). So, PLUS ONE!!
  15. Well I have been in your shoes and this is what I did--her doctor recommended it and it was the best thing I ever did. My daughter had been terribly ill for quite some time and the doctors had not been able to diagnose what was wrong. One day she was so sick I took her to the doc and he said I needed see a specialist and that he would set up the appointment. He then looked at me and told me that best thing I could do for her was to take her to the emergency room at Scottish Rite (he also told me to take her early in the morning so it would not be so crowded). He had an idea what was wrong
  16. That is all we use at our house. When we were switching over I would mix 93/7 ground turkey with 93/7 beef to get the family used to the changing flavors. We gradually got rid of the beef and made it all turkey.
  17. I am ashamed to say some of the things I have done under the cover of darkness when I have been worried about my oldest daughter...never let her know just wanted to make sure she was okay
  18. Best wishes for a wonderful recovery for your daughter. I named the fish in the pond............no joke. Really, it is a wonderfully soothing area. Keep the faith and just keep telling yourself patience is a virtue
  19. That is what the ones we have look like but we don't even have water in ours and the ants stay out. What a great use of trash!
  20. We used to have that problem but last year we got these things that go between the feeder and the hook or what ever you are hanging them on. The ants cannot get to the feeder. I have no idea how it works but it worked for us. I filled mine today and made sure the ant catchers (or whatever they are called) were in place. My husband got them at the bird store and I don't know if they have them for every feeder type but they fit perfect on ours.
  21. Glad you posted this because I was thinking the "let go" looked a little odd for someone that was a partner in the original group.
  22. Where is this college so we can be sure to avoid it at all costs!
  23. Actually Susan has a practice in Marietta. She is such a great pediatrician. If my kids were younger I would def make the trip to see her.
