  1. Does the gas station across from Ingles still carry it? Anyone know how much per gallon?
  2. National Geographic had an interesting article on it a few months ago. I don't know if you can access their past issues online or not or if the library would have it. It might be worth a look-see.
  3. For the grill, I add cheddar cheese to the inside of the patty. I roll the meat (we use low-fat meat) into a tight ball, squish it just a little, then cut it in half, add the cheese slices (2 - 3 thin slices from a block) then press back together to finish off the patty. I make larger patties (1/4# each) flattened well so when they shrink they are not too thick, but bun sized. This helps the patty be nice and juicy and it cooks evenly. For inside burgers, I cook them on a griddle. I make a meat-loaf like mix with 1# lowfat meat, a fistfull of Pepperidge Farm seasoned crumbs, a healthy
  4. I didn't read all of the replies so apologies if I am duplicating a response: iPad may be able to run apps related to schoolwork/homework and Kindle/Nook, not. Maybe iPad will be able to access school network for the teacher's whiteboard files or other instructional tools.
  5. excellent advice! Sorry to hear of your heartbreak. Even though it hurts, pain gives color and contrast to life. Without heartbreak, you would not be able to recognize happiness when it finds you again.
  6. I was looking for paulding.gov and typed in paulding.com on accident. Logged in to see what it was about and have mostly lurked since then. Lots of people have come and go and even started other websites, but none are as good as p.com!
  7. My favorite replacement is mother-father! Or instead of STFU it would be "shut the front door"!
  8. I keep ones that are exceptionally nice or special indefinitely. I kept some from my Husband's grandmother and when she passed away, it was sort of nice the following Christmas (and ones to follow) to pull out the Christmas cards she had sent us in the past. It is nice to see her signature - to me someone's handwriting and/or signature is very personal. Everything now is so electronic, you don't see people's handwriting very often.
  9. It is my personal Christmas tradition to make my Christmas cards every year. I have an elderly, Great Uncle that is a painter. Every year they would send out a Christmas card that was a copy of one of the paintings that he had done. I so looked forward to receiving their Christmas cards, that I decided that I would make my own, too. This year, I have about 50 to send out.
  10. Congrats to your daughter! I love genealogy! Through an old topic on here, I found out I was related distantly to Showline / County-Line via the Brewster family. I don't know if he is on here anymore.
  11. Actually, there is one that starts on Halloween.
  12. I don't know how old your kids are and if this is helpful, but someone posted this on my FB this morning: http://www.gigglesandgrace.org/
  13. It's been fun! How do I know what my member number is?
