  1. They are store bought - picked them up at Kroger yesterday. Chocolate cake in half-moon with white cream in the center. Some sort of covering (don't know how to describe it) with coconut. Tonights version is orange - for Halloween. LOL. DH loves coconut and this is one of his favorite desserts. That sounds YUMMY!!! I might try it with strawberry muffin mix and strawberry filling. THANKS!
  2. The death was a 17 year old student. The 59 yr old driver was a trainee who also had a CDL license. The bus is a 2010 model and the accident was not due to a tire blow-out and there was no mechanical error.
  3. CONGRATULATIONS! You did a great job raising your son for him to choose to follow in your footsteps.

  6. Mt. Cheaha in Alabama. It is not too far and is the highest point in Alabama. BEAUTIFUL views from Bald Rock overlooking several counties and it is a State Park with lodge, lake, etc. A friend on FB had a photo session with a photographer there recently and they were AWESOME!! With the leaves beginning to change it would make for some GREAT photos!!
  7. YUMMMMM.....I cannot wait to try the brownies, Mark. THANKS!!! Baked cabbage is REALLY easy: Cut up cabbage and put in casserole dish Put clumps of butter/margarine salt and pepper Cook on 350 until tender. Stir frequently to make sure all the cabbage is covered with the butter. Another one you might like since you like cabbage: Stir Fry Cabbage 3 (or 4) slices of bacon sliced into pieces 1/2 onion chopped Mix and cook until both are tender Add cabbage (quite a bit bc it will cook down) Stir in with bacon/onion mixture Salt & pepper to taste Stir often When i

  10. Another reason I am glad to have Comcast. I get CSS which it is my understanding is only available with Comcast.
  11. I am sorry I don't have one without the logo but yes, it IS cute!!
  12. The days shown in their signature they are open are Wednesday - Sunday.
  13. THANK YOU!! I am glad you were pleased - I think they are just adorable.
  14. Are you having all your teeth pulled and full set of dentures for $1500? If so that is awesome. Which dentist did you see? For assistance you might want to contact the Ben Mansell (I think that is the name) charity for dental work.
  15. I was thinking the same thing. But I can also see some of Chad, too. Who is the Homecoming Queen and her parents? They look familiar.
  16. Did you miss us last night???? We went to the Hiram location to see Wayne but when we got there he had just left. Since it was late I got the ribeye sandwich (on a hoagie bun) and DH got the philly steak. (Didn't want to eat something as filling as a steak.) Of course we brought home the usual - coconut cake. YUMMMMMMMM.
  17. NOPE. Not that I've ever been there when it was any other name, but............. I'm staying in and watching the TIDE ROLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
  18. Yes it is. These are the same deminsions of the "Pillow Pets" but are not as thick. The extra thickness makes them look larger. But, then again they aren't $20 either! I have updated what pets are still available. THANKS to everyone for your business!!!
  19. First: Our first date was to my Senior Prom and we dated off and on while I was in college. Resumed our relationship in August 1977 and he asked me to marry him on Fathers Day, June 1978. We married Sept. 23, 1978 and our daughter was born Dec. 9, 1980. We were together until he abandoned me and our daughter June 1987. Divorce was finally final Nov. 19, 1988. Soon discovered I knew absolutely NOTHING about the man even tho I'd known him for years and we lived together as husband and wife for 9 yrs. I would do it again because I have a beautiful and wonderful daughter from the marriage. BUT....

  21. ME TOO!!!! Whatever happened earlier this week and the purpose of this thread, too.
  22. I am surprised your Doxie didn't kill it. Being bred to hunt badgers they typically go crazy with animals such as that. We've had dachshunds for the past 32 yrs and have lost everything from kittens to hamsters to squirrels, etc to that instinct. They weren't mean or ferocious furbabies they were just responding to what came naturally. I hope the little chipmunk survives.
  23. Description edited to add: Inside it has a cell phone pocket and another open pocket. On the opposite side inside is a zipper pocket. OOPS. Sorry for the omission.
