  1. Have you looked at Windows Vista lately?
  2. if you are not sure, DON'T CLICK. If it's legit, you'll get another chance.
  3. The two stores have separate ownership. Sal runs the Cedarcrest store.
  4. Recycle center at the transfer station will take them (TVs too) but there is a 10.00 fee to take them.
  5. I'd agree with this. I had 3.498 GPA graduating from North Cobb and took all the advanced math and science I could. Then I hit Kennesaw College in 1980 and it was a whole nuther world. I had to learn to study like I'd never studied before. Flunked out of one of my first English courses because I hadn't learned that with college professors it's their way or the Highway. It's a totally different environment. Will say that both my boys graduated from PCHS, one has graduated from Kennesaw with a history degree, the other will graduate in December with a Business degree. You get out o
  6. Holy Carp!! Did you see the pictures and video of the explosion in the Chinese port city of Tianjin? They are saying "only" 50 dead and 700 injured but from the looks of these buildings and containers that's amazing if true. There is a video of the two major explosions that a person was taking from quite a ways away before the second explosion had them heading out the building. I couldn't figure out how to post a link, it's in the article at: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3195477/Fifty-people-injured-enormous-blast-explosives-shipment-hits-Chinese-city.html Tons o
  7. Suspect it's a traffic study as well. Motion sensitive cameras and computer counting are bound to be as accurate or better than the old rubber hose across the road.
  8. About the only time I go to hardees is for breakfast. Since 2 or 3 fast food places have failed in that area, i can't see why they think they are different. Guess we'll see!
  9. Well I looked up what the county manager is supposed to do (in a general sense, not specific to us) and found this: For a county the size of Paulding, I don't see removing both the assistant and the manager as being a good thing. We need professionals running the show. (Assuming of course that whoever was in the position was really a professional and not somebody's cousin)
  10. cool. We have that same problem for sure. They STINK when about half full. Dog is a food to hair conversion machine! Thanks
  11. You are welcome. I put 2 inches of water in the pool this morning to have this come in...
  12. I used to think I was too paranoid, but then I figured out that if they really are out to get me, I'm not paranoid. Nothing these days would surprise me where money is involved, including this.
  13. Interesting "feature" of W10 to be aware of: So if you activate this for your home network, be aware that you are opening up your network to everyone on your "friends" list.
  14. Didn't do anything wrong? <sigh> Just once I'd like to see one of these "innocent" people getting shot by a cop that *isn't* doing two or three illegal things at once. If they were not stupid, they'd still be alive. (Not that stupidity deserves a death sentence, but it often leads to one even without a cop involved, also known as the redneck "Hey, Y'all watch this!" syndrome. ) While not condoning shooting of unarmed people, watching the video, I don't think this one is near as cut and dry as people are saying. The driver was either an idiot, on drugs, or both, to not be a
  15. The motor box lights or the wired control switch on the wall lights? Does the wired button open/close it? Depending on how old/expensive it is, it may be easier/cheaper/better to just replace the entire unit.
  16. Many may not remember that Merchant's drive was once 278 and a high traffic area. When the 278 Bypass was put in, a LOT of traffic left that area. I'm really surprised that those businesses have hung on as long as they have and not moved out to the new 278.
  17. Yea, I've wondered how sensitive to lightning those boxes are. A couple of storms and they are booked up for 4 days. Can you imagine when the Sun gets active again and we have a *real* solar storm?
  18. Need someone to invent the long desired "Hyper Drive" to get there at 1400 LYs. Besides, we're seeing it as it was in AD 500. They may have had global warming and destroyed the planet by now.
  19. Agree with Pubby that maybe not the best term, but looking at it from the perspective of growth and expansion. There is a limited amount of space around it for the airport and any other much business to grow because of the WMA in the area. Then you add the map of the 10,000 acres of Atlanta owed land and there is another layer to the onion shielding the airport from growth. Between the WMA and ATL owning that acreage, it's been a huge part of the lack of development in that neck of the woods. I imagine that quite a number of people think that some of that ATL owned land is part of the
  20. Found a map of the WMA that shows the airport is pretty much land-locked by the WMA, which is then land locked by the Airport property. What a mess. Wonder if this can be read as a threat to give up on commercial or we'll sell out our 10,000 acres to the worst scum in the world and leave the county to deal with the development. Maybe the airport should be closed and the land sold to the WMA. Bring in some nice dollars for the commissioners to give to their cronies and the runway would make a great parking lot for the southern WMA area for hunting season.
  21. First time in several years that my grass has been this green this late in the summer. Pool is cooling down from lack of sunlight however. On the plus side, I think I've only had to add water once, during that two week dry spell in June. I remember one August we couldn't swim because it would never warm up from the clouds and rain. if you don't like the Ga weather this year, just wait until next year, it will be completely different....
  22. I think anyone that understands the pollination process is concerned. Until it's determined what is causing it, hard to know what to do about it.
  23. Some day I hope the misguided ones in this country will open their eyes and understand that their is evil in this world that you cannot "talk to" and "make jobs for" to get rid of it. Sometimes the Peacemakers have to take a big stick and beat the heck out of those who keep breaking the peace. I'm not holding my breath however.
