If the WEB site is telling you via pop up that you need an update, I'd stay away. Sometimes a legit site will say that it "Works better with an up to date version of xxxxxxx browser" but it's rare I see that since I have auto update on my browsers. To check on auto update for various browsers: For Internet Exploder, at the tools menu, select "About internet Explorer". Mine has a check box there for "Install new versions automatically" For Firefox, open the options menu, select the Update tab, and check "automatically install updates" Chrome appears to auto update by default,

Why are they no longer teaching cursive writing?
The Sound Guy replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
It's obvious. The Standard tests are all in print. They are teaching the tests and cursive is not needed for such tests. Therefore, no cursive being taught. From a security point of view, I'm not sure that signing your name in cursive is much different than printing your name on, say, a check. The banks don't compare your signature on the checks anymore anyway, (Read the checking account agreement closely and you'll see they state that they will pay no matter what the signature is) so what does it matter how it's put on there? You can sign the check "Mickey Mouse" and it's goi -

ALL I CAN SAY IS.....IT MUST BE BLACKBERRY WINTER
The Sound Guy replied to lowrider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Actually reminds me of the first normal (for GA that is) spring we've had in a while. For several years we went from Winter to Summer in about 2 weeks. -
Why are pork and beef prices so convoluted now ?
The Sound Guy replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I think the cost of all of the beef products is very high, due mainly to farmers cutting their herd size during the feed shortage a few years ago. It will take quite a bit of time to regain the herds that they had before that time. Only reason you see it cheap sometimes is the stores using loss leaders to get people in the door. -
I looked it up earlier this week. You do not need a permit any more for the fire if it is less than 8' x 8' but it must be out by dark.

I've had two fires this month and a neighbour was burning this afternoon for that reason.

I've got a flat style feeder that comes apart and started last year trying to make sure I run it through the dishwasher to sterilize it.

Egg Prices to SOAR! as Avian Influenza Midwest outbreak spreads
The Sound Guy replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Ouch. With eggs being in a LOT of recipes this could be painful. -
Yea, it was in front of our neighborhood. Learned about it too late to get up and check it out. The line guys tried to lift up my wife's car at the 4 way stop today as well. (ok, light where the 4 way used to be) One waved her on to go, the one on the winch started lifting the line while she was on top of it. She had to stop and wait for them to drop the cable back down.

"Chemical Free Natural Living" - No way in heck I take advice from a fanatic. I'm sure they find something wrong with everything except the stuff that *surprise* they happen to sell!! -
On star would not have been bad if it was reasonably priced, but was seriously overpriced. The emails about the car I turned of pronto. I can keep up with the car on my own.

A chevy with On-Star? We turned that off in a hurry.

PCSO 39 IPADS taken from Dallas Highway Walmart April 10
The Sound Guy replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
Good point. I'm amazed that a Walmart had 39 iPADs in stock at one time. Do they really have that high of a demand for them at a discount store? -
Went through the powerpoint. Comments: Finance (page 3) Healthcare - Sorry, if the cost is going from 1.4 million a year to 320K a year, the employees *will* be getting screwed. Sounds like nothing but the admin fee is being covered anymore. Consumables spending goes up 40% with the Outsource? Sounds like the current employees are careful to make do with the minimum, but as contractors they are expected to be fast, not frugal. Transition (Page 4) "Accrue vacation and sick time" - Nothing said about the rate (i.e. if it will be lower / slower than they get now. As we

Tunnels Of Paulding Made News On Conspiracy Site!
The Sound Guy replied to atlga2020's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Dang, you're right! That "Digital media editing center" there with all the big screens is obviously a fake and meant to be quickly converted into a command center if the tunnels activate! -

Liberal says "we've got to protect our teachers"
The Sound Guy replied to gpatt0n's topic in Wild side of the news
So..... Mother is mad about someone doing alleged violence and the answer is more violence? We really need to add some logic training to the school system, the politicians have taken all common sense out of the program. -
If doing next, they pull something like $40 a month from the service charges for each phone and then add on the NEXT, so it's a wash if you gotta have a new phone. In my case, I'm still happy with my iphone 3 so I've got $40 a month in my pocket. From what I can see, all this means is that you WON'T have the option of paying a higher service charge if you have bad credit and can't get a NEXT approved. Wonder if the govt will start considering a cell phone as a "right" and start providing low cost loans to support this "right" for those with crappy credit. (Like the Housing debacl
