Military planning for possible H1N1 outbreak

Yes it does and I have read too many Sci-Fi books! Scary pictures keep popping into my head!!! Most of them having to do with government control of the population! -
Most of the folks on the street are there because they choose to be. Most have addictions and their relatives have no control over adults. My guess is that they will be back on the street in a short while. It is sad. They are just sending them to the streets of another city! For those who do not fall into this category then I don't have a problem with it.

Thanks Animal! I have been to the Rodeo every year that it has been to Paulding! It is great fun!

Pubby, I know you have heard that old saying "if you give them an inch they will take a mile". If this cat is let out of the bag you will never get it back in and it will hurt a lot of old people as well as some young ones! The folks who are pushing this Bill don't even know what's in it which means they are lying about it! Thank goodness there are some who are taking the time to dig the facts out. This is a very bad Bill!

This is disturbing stuff! What do you do though if you want to widen the world in which you live? Is there a way you can demand that google take down any info on you?

Thanks for sharing! You are a great example for others!

Blood loss from rat bites killed Westwego baby
NewsJunky replied to NewsJunky's topic in RECENT TOPICS
It makes mine crawl too. I almost did not post this because it was so horrifying. When I saw that there were TWO stories about the same thing I decided that some parents might not realize the danger these creatures pose to babies. I can't imagine what the parents in these cases were thinking. Surely there was some choice involved here! It made me think about the good that the churches are doing with the communitymakeover going on this week. Maybe they will help prevent needless harm by helping their neighbors! -
I don't understand how parents can allow this to happen. Surely the babies must have screamed! In the case where the baby died the parents are blaming the landlord, who happened to be one of the parent's step father. Why couldn't they move or seal the structure? These two stories are very upsetting! I have always HATED RATS and now I have even more reason to hate them!! Both of these stories were on the Drudge Report today. First Story! WWLTV.com WESTWEGO, La. – Blood loss due to an attack by a rat or rats was determined to be the cause of death of the three-month-old gi

Call Ken Stanton. That is where we got the name of the guy who tuned my Grandmother's old piano.

Please don't spread that gossip around here!!!!

I really need to remember some of those! The Old Farmer is very wise!
-
I don't believe that! It should be the goal of everyone to get the BEST education for the children! I don't think some get that in the public schools! Their parents pay taxes and the money should follow the child!!

I think Purdue just said that the state would have to cut the budget to the school districts the equivalent of a three day furlough for teachers. I wonder if the county BOE could choose to cut some other way?
-
From the article link above: Instead, Perdue said he would be slicing system allocations equivalent to those three furlough days, and let superintendents do what they think best. The governor advised the school officials to target non-teaching days set aside for lesson planning and parent conferences.
-
Some of the children coming back to school this year are living in homes where a parent has NO job. I know folks in the building trade who would love to just be looking at a 3 day furlough. I heard on the news today that the State budget is worse than projected and that schools will get 3% less. Tough choices will have to be made by the county BOE too. I don't know how I can help but I will be checking with my Grand kids schools to find out. I am sure there will be others who will too. Sometimes I have to remind myself to count my blessings instead of focusing on my troubles. I am so

Or a new one! Works great!
