  1. Yep, I think they are too. I really liked the way they listened to the suggestions from the folks. I think a new budget will come out this week using some of those. Could be mistaken but I don't think so.
  2. Thanks for the info on the soldiers and Marines. I did not know that.
  3. May his family find comfort and may he rest in peace. Thanks to another Brave Solider who gave all. Gary Freeman told the Savannah Morning News on Friday that his son, 29-year-old Capt. Matt Freeman, had died. He said Matt Freeman was a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. http://www.ajc.com/news/georgia-marine-killed-in-111686.html
  4. No, and I can't even read what the box says because it comes from another country.
  5. Well gambling (of a sort) got us into this mess, maybe gambling in Georgia would get us out!!
  6. Our family loves this too but we use walnuts instead of pecans in the crust.
  7. Yep! As old as I am I will be there with my guys too!
  8. I bet she is a very bright child. Imagination is a wonderful thing. The story "Where the Wild things Are" is about a child's imagination and it was one of my Grand Children's favorites.
  9. Seems that is what is missing in most toys for children these days. There is just too little left for them to use their imagination on.
  10. Barbie was pushed aside by Brats and some others. Never liked them either. I think part of the love for Barbie was changing all those pretty clothes and mixing and matching them. I can't say for sure but I think some kids would back off from others that got into all the breast feeding stuff at this age. I just don't see it as having enough value to a child's development to buy it. I still think it is a little creepy. Parents still get to choose though and they will make the decision for the child about whether or not to buy it.
  11. Hey, my grand daughter knows how to match her clothes! Barbie was good for something. She never really played with Barbies much she likes American Girl dolls.
  12. I have a Daughter and now have a Granddaughter. This never occurred to either of them.
  13. We never miss it. Thank goodness there are still a few good things to watch on TV. Me too. I loved her song and dance with the rabbit.
  14. I usually just watch the last 10 minutes. I get a recap of all of the performances in that length of time. We watch something else at the same time (House maybe). I like it but Hubby doesn't.
  15. Thanks. I thought he was a good actor and he headed the NRA until he developed Alzheimer's. When I ran across this quote I wanted to remember it. I don't like some of the play things they are putting on the market for kids though.
  16. I almost posted this but it is so creepy I decided not too. Glad you did though. This is just going too far with the little ones.
  17. Yep, she does not have the same charm that Paula has. Maybe she won't last but I have a feeling this is a trial appearance.
  18. Well it sure didn't take old Simon long to replace Paula. In the wake of Paula Abdul's surprise exit from American Idol, Simon Cowell has called on a old friend to join him on the judging panel - one Mrs Victoria Beckham. The former Spice Girl has so far agreed to make one guest appearance on the show for a rumoured £155,000. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/artic...Idol-judge.html
  19. Thanks Pubby, I was afraid you were going to say this. I love Bob Dylan too. He reminds of days gone by.
  20. Did they require a pay pal account or credit card payment? I just think the whole thing could get aggravating.
