Hubby's Mom always made Martha Washington candy every Christmas. I've taken up the tradition since she passed away. That stuff is like Crack!!! It's addictive!!! LOL!!! I also make fudge, white chocolate peppermint bark, No Oven Peanut Butter Bars and dark chocolate Christmas bark with Craisins and pecans. Yummy!!!!!

I saw that on the show "Unwrapped" on the Food Network station a while back. They actually burn the outside of those hams with a blow torch!!!

I'm retiring in June 2012 and am so excited I can't stand it!!! After 40 years in the work force I'm ready for some "me" time!!!

I hadn't thought about it but that could be. It's not the norm to see a school bus dropping off kids at 7PM. I just saw the lady on the news in court and she is just distraught. It's a very sad situation for both families.

Hubby was in WellStar Paulding in Sept. for 3 days because of a blood clot in his leg. We had a great experience! Everyone we encountered from the clerical employees to the doctors were so nice and accommodating. We've heard all the horror stories about that hospital too but honestly we can't complain about them. It was our first time to use their services and we were very impressed.

I'm sorry. We experienced a burglary several years ago and it's a horrible feeling. Mean people suck!

I get 5 weeks vacation, 8 paid personal days and 6 paid Holidays. As for sick time, we don't have a specific number of sick days per year. If you have more than 7 years service then you get paid for time you're out sick. We also have a 401K with company match and a company sponsored pension plan. I pay $35.00 per month for my medical insurance but dental and vision insurance is free.

I love the one where the guy comes home to visit his parents for Christmas and as he's coming in the door looking for them he hears his car crank up. His parents take off in his Audi.

Just got back from getting Ellie's picture made with Santa Steven. Got some great pics! He's a wonderful Santa...so good with the little ones!! She got upset on the way home, though, because she said she forgot to tell him she also wants a Dora play kitchen. She was insisting we turn around and go back so she could tell him. I told her I would write him a letter and let him know and that pacified her. LOL!!! 3 year olds are so easy!!!

Yes, I believe it does. Check with an attorney to be sure but we had that situation back a few years ago when hubby's brother died. Seems like our attorney told us that.

The BCS poll has Bama at #3 this morning. If the stars align just right there is a possibility that Bama and LSU could meet again in the championship game. ROLL TIDE!!!! No problem. We're good!

Yeah, I know they make HD TV's now. We have a 55 inch one in our family room so I could clearly see the play. I just don't agree with what the call was. That's all. Just my opinion.....

IMO, that was a bad call. I know they reviewed it and said it was an interception but it sure looked to me like he took the ball from the guy after he was on the ground. I have a friend who is a die hard LSU fan and he even said he thought that was a bad call for Bama.

It was a great game! Both teams gave it their all! I was reading the stats this morning and Bama actually outplayed LSU in everything...running, passing, etc. If they had a kicker they would have won that game. I seriously doubt there's another team out there, though, that could keep LSU from getting a touchdown for an entire game. Bama does have a great defense. ROLL TIDE!!!!

My parents were together 52 years when Mama died in 2000. Daddy was so heartbroken. He followed her in 2001. Elliesgrandpa's parents were married 48 years when his Dad died. We've been married 39 years. Me, hubby nor our kids have lived in a divorced household.
