I'll be the first one to agree that there are some bad things about Unions. There are also some very good things, though. Because of the Union I was able to retire a couple of months ago after almost 40 years of service with a decent pension. Also because of the negotiated Union Contract I'm able to have retiree medical, dental and vision insurance coverage through my former employer for myself and my husband for a little less than $25.00 per month. No way would my former employer just offer that kind of benefit to their retirees out of the goodness of their hearts. It is a Union negotiate

My hubby has been diabetic for about 10-15 years. He is Type 2. Started out on Metformin which is very inexpensive but he is now on Kombiglyze and Glyburide pills plus 3 insulin shots per day. The insulin is very expensive if you don't have insurance. He is on Levemir and Novolog Flexpens. They come 5 pens to a box and run around $200.00 per box. Fortunately we have insurance so we pay $20.00 co-pay for a 45 day supply. As long as your Mom does what her doctor tells her to do she should be fine. Good luck to her!

Telling them not to call back because you don't know the person they're trying to reach doesn't work. We've had collectors calling our house for at least 2 years now asking for a Shemal (sp) Flemming. I have no idea how they got our number but I've never heard of this person. Anyway, I usually just let it go to my voice mail but 3 or 4 times I have answered and asked them to remove my number from their records. They always apologize and say they will but within a day or two the calls start again. We're going to be disconnecting our landline and going completely wireless in the next couple

I've started using the one on Bill Carruth for a couple of reasons. The parking is free and it's alot closer to home and easier to get to. I've had my yearly mammograms done there for the past 3 years and have found them to be alot quicker than the women's center at Cobb Hospital. I'm usually in and out within 20-30 minutes as opposed to 1-2 hours at Cobb.

My granddaughter goes to an academy in Villa Rica..the Mirror Lake community. Not sure if it's the same one the OP is speaking of but if the center fired folks it sounds like they're at least taking care of the problem. That tells me it's being addressed and hopefully stopped.

Well, that makes 3 of us! I retired 2 weeks ago!! I really enjoyed working for BellSouth but at&t was a whole different ballgame!!!!

Right. Advance voting is only the week before the Primary and that's the only time you can go to any of the satellite voting locations. A couple of weeks prior to that they have early voting and you can only go to the county building location.

Advance voting here in Paulding is this week. There are 3 locations and you can go to either one of them. The locations and hours can be found on the county website www.paulding.gov.

As a Mom & Grandma I just cannot wrap my mind around this!!! I would fight my kids over the safety of my sweet granddaughter!! How could that Grandma stand there and watch that?? Makes me sick!!! Poor baby.
