Hubby & I did early voting last week but our nephew voted this morning at Russom Elementary. He said he was in line 1-1/2 hours.

Hubby is retired Lockheed and he said this is true.

It just seems to me that Thanksgiving is kinda skipped over these days. When I was a kid (I know...back in the dark ages..LOL) we had Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Now it goes from Halloween to Christmas. I love Thanksgiving!

We don't put up any Christmas decorations until the Friday after Thanksgiving.

I do my online banking through my bank, too. I don't like the idea of my creditors being able to access my bank account. I would rather just tell my bank when to send them $$$.

Channel 2 just said they are "working to find out why police opened fire on a 60 year old man" when they were talking about this shooting on Nebo Rd.

We spent the weekend in a cabin in Ellijay and I agree 100%!!! We've been going up there to Burt's and the apple barns every year for at least 15-20 years and we've never seen it as crazy crowded as it was this time. It was horrible!!! It's really hard to have a good time when you can't even move!!

Yeah, well, what really sucks for me is I've lost an inch in height in the last year. Went to the doctor yesterday for my yearly check-up and discovered that. Good 'ol Osteopenia!! As far as food preferences I seem to want more sweets than I did when I was younger. Other than that I don't see any changes.

Happy Anniversary! It's mine & hubby's anniversary, too. 40 years. Our kids took us to Cherokee Cattle Co. for dinner.

Yeah, Ellie will be, too! She loves going there.

I just got an e-mail from Jump 4 Joey's saying their last day will be Sept.12th.

Hubby has been taking Lisinopril for several years. Not for HBP...he takes it to prevent kidney damage since he's diabetic. The only problem he's had with it is it elevated his Potassium levels. His doctor had him cut his dosage in half and that took care of it.

I had alot of friends who lived in Jonesboro. In fact, my sister's husband and his 3 brothers all grew up there and went to Jonesboro H.S. Is that where you went?

I'm from Clayton County, too. Grew up in Forest Park and graduated from FPHS. Back in the 60's & 70's Clayton was a very nice middle to upper class community. I have some really great memories of growing up there. It's so sad to see what it has turned into over the last 25-30 years. I'm glad my parents aren't around to see it. They would just be heartbroken.

I've heard alot of good things about Dr. Miles at this location. My daughter is a former Tanner employee and she has only good things to say about him. I also have 3 friends who use him as their PCP and they love him.

Maybe it's because the issue of homosexual marriage is a big newsmaker these days. Someone somewhere is debating if it should be legal or not every time you turn on the news. The other issues you mentioned aren't.

This just hurts my heart. This sweet precious angel was 6 days older than our Ellie Grace and I just cannot imagine the grief this family is going through right now. We will keep all of them in our prayers.

It took my daughter & SIL about 3 hours to go through Cades Cove today. They did get to see a bear, though.

It is beautiful but allow yourself alot of time. It's very congested and can take several hours to drive the 11 mile loop. It's a one lane road and if you get stuck in there in the traffic there's no turning around and leaving. We went a few years ago and it took us 3 hours. Our daughter & SIL are there right now. When they return I'll post again and let you know how long it took them.

Christopher was adopted by Pam & Bobby when he was a baby. That's why John Ross keeps making remarks about how he's not a Ewing. Biologically he's not. I think he's married a backstabber, too! At the end when she was talking with her brother I got the impression that she's not as nice and sweet as she has everyone thinking she is.
