  1. Just as an FYI, they way I understand it is that home depot, the stores, and homedepot.com are two separate corporations operating under the same name and sharing the same upper management. And this relates to why home depot the store would have no record of you having purchased a thing. Nor would they accept any responsibility for online purchases at the stores.
  2. I think the word you were looking for was Astrologist, like Miz Cleo. Honestly I'd really like to hear the reasons, since the only mental gymnastics I can imagine taking place in order to come to this conclusion are akin to falling down a flight of stairs, while intoxicated, and banging your head. Unless you're trying to blame *wink*Bush*wink*?
  3. Kyle: What's treefiddy? Chef's dad: Three dollars and fifty cents Chef's mom: Treefiddy Stan: He wanted money? Chef's dad: That's right. I said "I ain't giving you no treefiddy you goshdarn Loch Ness monster! Get your own goshdarn money!" Chef's mom: I gave him a dollar Chef's dad: She gave him a dollar Chef's mom: I thought he'd go away if I gave him a dollar Chef's dad: Well of course he's not gonna go away, woman! You gave him a dollar, he's gonna assume you got more!
  4. How much is a swim membership going to be? I mean the one where you avoid the basement entrance. Congratz.
  5. You know. Those two lines actually exemplify the primary reason kids are acting the way they do these days. So right on, cool story bro. You nailed it.
  6. What I heard about the old Arby's is that you'll walk in.. and for a dollar, they'll put a blindfold on you, spin you around and send you back out the front door.
  7. You can. Goto TinyPic.Com 1. Click Browse and choose the image you want to upload. 2. Click Upload 3. Left-Click to highlight text, Right-Click and select Copy. Paste what you copied into the post. (if your image is oversized from a source such as as iphone, use the resize function as seen in first pic)
  8. Haha! I've seen that same exact CGI monorail in the video above, not simpsons song, super imposed on other roadways.
  9. I can only think of one other afternoon/night we had it on in the past month or so, few weeks back when it got warm and humid out and stayed that way overnight. Right now with our, unusual, spate of low humidity, it's still gettin chilly at night. But today was a definite ON day and if the house holds this heat it'll stay on for the rest of the week.
  10. With the temps now getting close to 90.. who here has turned on their A/C for a bit in the afternoons?
  11. I've been tempted to start a topic named... What's being built in front of the New Hobby Lobby..
  12. My parents 80's era home, in East Paulding, had been constantly maintained by my, now-a-days bedridden mother, using me as her work horse. Last few years it's fallen on me to take over the upkeep on her home, as well as my own now. This is the 2nd home I've owned in Paulding, previous was an older farm house, poorly built, and in mine, and others, opinion, not worth the free weekend labor to keep maintained. I recently bought into this 90's era built home and found what others have in many cases, previous owners did no maintenance to anything. It was a new roof last year, and we're trying
  13. I'm sure they'd love it. Problem is, since the redo, the price of new businesses rent went up, having little draw tor anything new, leaving the existing. And the Mexican place on the square, being too small to have all indoor seating, used to have part of the square for seating, they went to war with Dallas over them not being allowed to have that anymore, and were fined retroactively for having that seating, effectively putting them out of business. It was ugly and short sighted of them (Dallas) to do so to a long standing business.
  14. I figured I'd hit one of those on here, but hey.. something like this may not happen for 10-20 years, if it would even happen at all. I did know someone personally out past Rose's store that had the surveyors come through the middle of their property for the long ago outer perimeter (i-485), or whatever. The problem with that one, it was to go thru Carrollton, come up and catch Rockmart, then on to Rome... yeah, Dallas would have been left high and dry.. Project 92 (the one from I-20 to the Hiram Bypass) is still ongoing, just slowly, and that's great for Hiram. But in a car centric so
  15. Like an unfamous man once said, there's only two types of folks in the world, those who pee while in the shower, and Gosh-be-darned liars.
  16. The good ol' boys who've run Paulding for decades have never been able to see further than the string on the dollar hanging in front of them. There was that "supposedly" awesome Mexican place at the courthouse, what happened with that again? Living here has been like watching someone take a 50 piece puzzle and banging the pieces all together with a hammer however they see fit. I know, complain complain complain.. right? Oh wait, here's an idea. Get a plan together, along with Carroll County to push a main corridor from I-20, up 101 with a main connection with 120/Buchanan Hwy, pu
  17. You know, I hear this constantly, yet when the AHA was still being birthed, I caroused the "lefty" websites, and not a single damn "voter" was happy with how Obamacare was being done, In fact there was a ton of supporters who were ready to wash their hands of Obama and the AHA with how it was turning out. Once it became "law", many "supporters" said F**k it, it's over with with how they feel they were represented. Now to listen to pundits on news shows about "how the left loves Obama" but to actually go to those lefty websites and realize the disconnect cause not a damn one of them "gives two
  18. We just sold something on CL a few weeks back. No problems at all. Putting in an address is optional. I always put in a close cross street so folks have an idea of where I'm at, but my full address? Never. What I listed I so very descriptivly, with candor, and photos galore. I had something like 30 replies the next morning. The person I picked gave me a full name and phone number to call them in said first reply at which time I googled that and it came back as a real person and not scammer/serial CL poster. Everyone else that wanted to play 100 questions or email tag or seemed sketchy were ig
  19. I've always heard conflicting info on these over the years for here in Paulding, but, and I'm just sayin, I know of two major fires this year caused by leaving burn barrels unattended.
  20. Terrible idea honestly. For one there are sites like: http://www.mytractorforum.com/ That covers all brands of tractors, mowers, and include small engine repairs. Also a slew of other DIY forums with pros and hobbiests exist out there. Along with the static About.com style Q and A sites and others where folks lurk those types of forums and post up good write-up and step-by-step answers other users provide, and I think they get some sort of payment or something for doing so. In other words, almost always, if someone has a question about something mechanical like that the answe
  21. Grats on getting it fixed. BTW prolly too late to mention I have a Maytag Neptune washing machine motor "new in the box" sitting in my garage. If anyone needs that, lemme know. I'll let it go for a Jackson, even tho it's worth about 6 or 7 of them retail. (this is for folks who may find this later via search). Yes I'm shameless and it's: Part# H55BMBKJ-1841
  22. I knew about the first, never heard of the second but I don't believe that one equals the other. Frankly Ridge Rd. gets to be too sleepy of an area after midnight to support any 24 hour anything. In fact, the Ingles at Nebo and Nebo stopped being a 24 hour store long time back also along with the Krystal in Hiram, same reason, Paulding doesn't stay too hopping after a certain time at night. Still doesn't preclude that the southern area of Paulding could see some commercial growth, Blondie is correct that the Ridge Rd. Kroger is a high volume store still these days, I don't shop there
  23. I'd like to see a Lowes put somewhere in Paulding that isn't within 5 frickin minutes of the Cobb line. Somewhere like the Hiram Nebo and Dallas Nebo intersection would probably bank like a mofo.
