  1. While there are tons of articles out there arguing both ways, the reality is, the real danger of having data on a smartphone lost or compromised is more from having the actual device stolen from you, than from an app. Both the Android and iPhone app ecosystems have the apps go through a vetting process against maliciousness before they "appear" for download via their respective on phone "markets". Apple has an even more stringent vetting process than Android, but the phone OS's, by design, do not give the end user (you) any sort of administrative rights, period. Which was the problem for s
  2. Shoot, I'd pay $59 if they'd let me put some clothespins on my man-nips, spread my arms, and run down the runway going blarble-arble-pthbbbbbbbbb...

  4. Ex-wife and I separated here in Paulding two years ago, and decided to go for an uncontested amicable divorce. We tried the "fill out your own papers" and file thing, didn't work, was rejected for missing things as LisaC notes it may, ended up being easier to just use a lawyer to do all of it for us, about $700 these days. We split the cost, Took 4 months for divorce to work it's way through system out here.
  5. Sour grapes indeed, alongside a nice tall glass of whine. I've still yet to see the: 1. Campaign for it 2. Build it 3. ???? 4. Profit System we've been doing work. Yet it has become the current trend in this county, when every big project has ended up nothing more than a boondoggle. We are a grid-locked county, flying folks in and out is just going to exacerbate that. I give it 3 years if the airport goes commercial before it becomes defunct and yet another sinkhole wanting money thrown in it. You want growth in this county? You want some business and manufacturing? Fix
  6. Just because you "disagree" with someone and their love for their pets, does not give you carte blanche to come onto the world wide web and display your utter lack of empathy and desire to blame someone who's already hurting from her loss. So, in effect, not only have you made an ass of yourself. But you also showed your utter ignorance in the fact that aggravated cruelty to animals, IE: maiming or causing harm to an animal that results in a slow lingering death, is actually against the law in this state as it is in most others in this union. So not only shooting an animal in such a wa
  7. All I know is came up 61 tonight and saw where something had happened in the southbound lane right past the high school before you crest the hill. Either a head-on or major rear-end accident. There was a mess of fluid spilled/soaked in the road there.
  8. Dude, YOU are the one posting in a thread saying YOU shoot other's animals, and YOU are on here blaming the victim. It's readily apparent YOU get some type of gratification from harming animals and others, or you wouldn't even dare to post the drivel you've already spat out of your mouth that's lying there on the floor for everyone to gawp at. And seeing the response I've elicited from you, I NAILED IT.
  9. So what you're saying is when you pop a woman in the mouth that's her fault too? I mean apparently you have no sympathy for anyone here except the person who shot someone's pet. With your type it's always the victim's fault.
  10. Humans have free will, animals do not. When a person makes the decision to partake in an amoral act, such as killing, or harming, someone else's pet in spite or for personal gratification, there is no defending said act from a human perspective. They are sub-human. And such folk sicken me.
  11. The other day I left the house at 4pm.. went to HD in Hiram, tried to get out of Hiram via 92 to my mothers home in E Paulding off of 120.. dropped something off.. got back on 120, came across 278 down BC-Pkwy, to Nebo.. rode out Nebo to the house.. Walked into the house, at 6:30 or so, ready to kill someone.. on purpose.. and junk.
  12. ROFL I end up on that station more and more and couldn't tell if the music there is better, or if I'm just getting old. Because the "other" rock station now does some.. Nirvana, Led Zep, Stones, Soundgarden, Aerosmith, Nirvana.. I'm like WTF is wrong with those guys.
  13. At one time, while I was growing up anyways, Red Lobster was considered a very up-scale chain with limited locations. Many times, on weekends, you'd need a reservation, and it was always considered a place to take prospective clients to the proverbial lunch. It was the type of place if your parents took you along, you had to "dress up" in your Sunday best. Then it turned into "just another chain" restaurant sometime in my late teens, as in there were better and more interesting places to take a date for dinner, especially at Red Lobster prices. But they did start dropping food quality and
  14. Man does radio now suck in Atlanta or what? I remember when living down in Southern Florida, there was an Orlando station that would simulcast 96 Rocks afternoon broadcasts, which threw me off one day riding down I-95 and hearing traffic reports about "the perimeter" and watch out for that wreck on "the southside".. I did a double-take at the radio that day. And yup on Fridays, all this would play as well.
  15. Going by that metric it would make nearly all Nursing homes, assisted living facilities, child day care, and even hospitals "lock down". This facility falls under "protective custody", not "lock down", per the definition of how the state defines, "lock down". During my interaction with security on site, they themselves, said this was not a lock down facility. While patients are not allowed to come and go freely, no one is restrained in rooms, no one is locked into rooms. Each wing has a single protective padded room with restraint system, that, when or if, they are used requires doctor
  16. I did some work there pre-opening and post opening on the PC/Security systems. There is no general alarm at the facility other than the fire system. Willowbrooke is not a hardcore lockdown facility. In fact it's setup more like a "retirement home" with 3 wings all being watched over by the nurses station which is a hub. If they're under 18 they only had to go through two security doors, and if it happened at midnight there would have been only one guard on the grounds. Again this isn't a detention facility but more an observation and treatment facility, whose scope is to fix/control be
  17. Not that I have experience with this, but according to others I've known, when you get pulled over you can damn near get arrested for whatever the officer deems fit. Most of it comes down to the officer and your attitude. Whether or not it's going to stick in court is a whole other kettle of fish. Worst experience I ever had was when I was pulled over, and in the middle of being polite and handing over my info, my ass was jerked out of the car, hand-cuffed, thrown into a muddy ditch, to sit on the side of the road, jacketless, for a half hour while an officer tore the inside of my car
  18. Well SEARS has had it's own issues on-going for the past decade and a half.. They used to use salesmen on commission but not any longer, they used to have a great repair/parts replace dept, not anymore.. But like any shopping, if I go to look, I'm hounded by guys pressuring a sale. If I go to buy, good luck finding someone who'll bother to stop for 1 minute to pay attention to you. But even Lowe's in W. Marietta did a switch on my mother, she goes up there, see's a discounted dish-washer "on the floor", pays for it, makes sure they wrap it up in pallet wrap with her name and info in
  19. You'll probably need to check around with some real bakeries for that. I cannot ever remember seeing such, and you may have to request it. East Paulding/West Cobb - Great Harvest Bread Company Hiram - Bumble Bee Bakery
  20. My only problem with cooking dawgs at the house is.. well.. The damned chili isn't ever right. I've tried every brand you can get from the stores, and NOPE, not even close to make a proper suicide dawg. And making my own chili by rendering down (whatever it is they use).. Ain't got time fo' dat. So.. I just don't know.. the dogs we do at the house just don't tickle my whistle like the ones from the Varsity or say Martin's tend to.
  21. I was drunk, the day my Mama got out of prison And I went out to pick her up in the rain But, before I could get to the station in the pick-up truck She got runned over by a damned ol' train - Happy Mother's Day!!!
  22. Indeed, I thought it'd be about the upkeep and tending of formicariums as well.
  23. 1. Become an Elected Offical 2. Tell the FD boys to come on over and fill 'er up! Thanks, now I got a hankerin' for some jerky.
