  1. If you're mobile device auto-corrects the F-word into duck it's not really an issue but a feature, as it's still fowl language.
  2. You can sign up for an Ancestry.com account and scan and upload this to their website/database. There may be tons of folks on there who'd love to see this information as it could help other families trace their roots. Things like church minutes and lists can go a long way to helping link family weddings/births/deaths where no other information exists.
  3. I would not suggest Metroderm P.C. in the building beside Paulding Wellstar.. refused to give me laughing gas and then they cut off a mole.. worst dentists ever. Oh and I was very sad to discover Dr. Vaughn retired.
  4. Okay I laughed. Last odd thing I found.. Castleberry hotdog chili, partially ground up ABS plastic "tooth" piece apparently from manufacturing plant. It had a keyed end for fitting into something. .. I picked it out, and the little ground up pieces I could see, and served it.. didn't have time to go to store for more fixings.
  5. It's not a joke pic or series of.. The photos were submitted to another forum complaining about ATT and that the homeowner called numerous times and they've set several dates to come bury their line and have been no-shows every time. He said the line and pedestal have been sitting like that all summer b/c he has to have his wife stand out in the yard and make sure he doesn't suck the line up in the mower. She has to pick up the line so he can mow under it. Personally only issue I have with ATT is that on Uverse there's high ping/packet loss on their network during primetime at night,
  6. I stole the very poignant block text below from Reddit that is an argument against automation taking the place of almost all jobs. The promoters of such push the rhetoric that we'll have the bonus of more free time to push creativity and that we'll eventually introduce a "distributed wealth" system aka "Universal Basic Income" in order to prevent chaos and anarchy. Real wages are dropping fast, only private wealth is being created, lobbyism is abundant, there's absolutely a small ruling elite, education has stagnated relative to technological growth and credit is essentially free and unlim
  7. Oh i used to have a tree guy, young fella, like to free climb sheer cliffs, rappelling, caving, etc.. knew his stuff. It was like a magic to see him come take down a tree with "surgical precision", ropes going everywhere, pulleys, a guy on the ground in harness with him up in the tree in harness, had everything roped to the point that they'd slice off a limb (tree limb), and both would lower it down to within a half inch of touching the house. It took them awhile to setup, and once they did, it was amazing to watch. Only problem was he wasn't cheap, and he's since moved away to Tenne
  8. Nothing really surprises me any longer when it comes to service from anyone. For most companies advertising "great service guaranteed" via a truck wrap decal is often cheaper than providing said service. I've had some pretty underwhelming to nearly negligent service from two different well known local companies here in Paulding alone where I'd never recommend them to anyone, yet they're always the first to be recommended in any conversation around these parts. In one of the cases I was friends with the owner who sold his share to his new, monied, partner right before I recommended them fo
  9. Plus they do this. The 2016 schedule in link..
  10. Seeing how popular my last post about YouTube was (well admittedly AvE is an acquired taste).. here's another.. well another three different channels on YouTube I find interesting in all their separate ways. Maybe you've heard of some, or one, but give all 3 a try if you're into these sorts of things. Forgotten Weapons This channel isn't just about firearms, it's about rare and/or forgotten firearms, ones that either barely made a dent in history, or guns that are so rare no one really knows about them. This is a GREAT channel, family safe for the most part (mild language), and it
  11. In an attempt to broaden some horizons I decided I might showcase an interesting Youtubes channel on occasion if I don't get lazy. One of the craziest channels that handles tools, mens stuffs, tools, dirty language, tools, slagging off Chinese made goods, and more tools, is brought to you by a Canadian who suggests some of the best safety equipment is Marlboros to filter out shop dust. He drops some shop science, questions current trends of the Home Despot selling quality garbage, calls adjustable wrenches Left handed Swedish Nut Lathes, and hammers Thumb Detectors (or a choice dirty word
  12. View from the Canadian side from The Tower Hotel
  13. Going from 120 across 278 coming FROM the hospital TO the bridge we now are merging to the right not the left, and back onto the old bridge with it's new smooth transition. The signage as of 30 minutes ago says to "follow traffic" and makes no mention of which way to merge. Anyone coming home that way today may want to be aware of this. All the folks I was clumped up with were confused, as was I, and most of us ended up merging back and forth because of DOT/Work trucks parked along the median. For clarity, traffic needs to be in the right lane now, not the left, when approaching the
  14. Nothing to add. Actually I'll add this, this number is out of an averaged total of 30,800 doses given yearly. Study was using data from medicare part D. Story at The Washington Post If you get asked for an email: washingtonpostads@washpost.com
  15. Just got home, passed about half a dozen youths walking towards Hiram with backpacks stuffed FULL of whatever, drinks and stuff hanging out of one.
  16. Melbourne is a nice area. Last time I was there the locals complained about the traffic.. which their 5 o'clock was comparable to our area around 2-3pm.. light to none. Just be aware with the AFB and the Cape there along with their airport in the center of town which serves domestic and private flights it can get really noisy down there on certain days.
  17. Pissed off, just watched the news earlier, and what's in the background? It's a bunch of damn shiftless and bored kids down there running amok in the streets and trying to grab the cameras in almost every segment they were live.
  18. Take a bunch of damn job applications down there and see how fast they all disperse.
  19. If you've been watching Channel 2 and see the shot from the News Chopper, it may be (corrected: Pine Valley Dr.). The police cars are lining down the hill not at the bottom. I was wrong - edited.
  20. The thing is, he isn't entirely wrong.. A few years back a family member went into the gulf with a cut on his leg, 48 hours later he was diagnosed with the "flesh eating" bacteria, within a few weeks he lost his leg and then, a few months later, his life from complications resulting from losing the leg. The entire thing was a horrible ordeal from start to finish but was preventable. As the article says this bacteria is down there in the gulf along the shores, period. And yes, when folks descend on the beaches in mass, things like this bacteria, and other human pathogens, explode along
  21. Meh, I about give up on the yard this year. Got home and tried to get the yard cut before the rain came in last night, it ended up raining right on top of me in the middle of my mowing, and there wasn't anything on the radar above us, just a pop up.. And the mass amount of rain coming in last night? We got nary a drop of. Yard looks nice today tho.. dry.. but nice.
  22. The storm was so bad here in South Paulding that my house started taking on water and listing to port..
