This is my experience as well, and what pisses me off about the current system. I've said it before but if you have no intention of ever working or adding to our society then you are rewarded for your lack of effort at the taxpayers expense. If you pay years into the system and suddenly need assistance for the short term, then that's just too damn bad, so says the departments involved with handing out help.

I can't quite remember those living in Russian collective farms, or work camps, as describing the lifestyle as ideal.

I'm just stating this in reply to the first post in this thread, just to clear up any confusion. But all the suggestions, while on the surface seem to be good ones, are wholly based in socialistic ideals. Basically it boils down to if you are poor you'll be subjected into socialism until you can afford to live in a democracy.

Quite a few years back I was driving up Mars Hill towards 41 around mid morning and about ran off the road when I saw Air Force One skimming the treetops. Seems they flew over Harrison High before Mr. Bush was to land at Dobbins and go speak there.

The most fascinating thing for me, from a historical perspective, is how much of a "role" the media had to play in the case. From destroying evidence and supposedly coaching the first suspect, Jim Conley, in what to say against Mr. Frank, all the way to whipping the good people of the county, state, and parts of our nation into a frenzy resulting in the elaborate scheme to mete out mob justice. There are many parallels surrounding this case that can still be found today within the media and how they handle reporting of emotional criminal cases.

Leo Max Frank (April 17, 1884 – August 17, 1915) was a Jewish-American businessman whose lynching in 1915 by a party of prominent citizens in Marietta, Georgia drew attention to antisemitism in the United States and led to the founding of the Anti-Defamation League. The superintendent of the National Pencil Company in Atlanta, Frank was convicted on August 26, 1913 of the murder of one of the factory workers, 13-year-old Mary Phagan. There was jubilation in the streets when Frank was found guilty and sentenced to death. By June 1915 his appeals had failed, but Governor John M. Slaton b

If an email spammer can send out 10 Million emails a day asking for $10, and .1% get fooled and sends the money, they've just earned $100,000 for the day.

With their Beret's and Baguettes, and settling major cities on swampland, what's up with that!! Meh.. If it's a number I don't know I just answer the phone and in my most piratey voice proclaim: "Arrrr! You may be wantin' my treasure, but you'll be havin' none of my booty!!!" And it usually results in a hanging up type of *click* in my ear.

I only do that on the weekends now, just for fun.

Oh, I've spent plenty of money in House of Lu, but like so many places the quality of the food has gone downhill as of late. If you're in the area they're worth eating, but not worth going out of my way for anymore. I guess I could say the same for Mizu as well, but would be willing to try them again, maybe they have improved some since they opened. But yeah the Chinese places in Hirams shopping area all are horrible, especially the buffet place as I believe it's been shut down a few times in the past for health violations.

Think that's the place my wife goes to once in awhile with the ladies from her work. She says it's actually decent for a buffet place and she's picky about her food.

My mother got a new card and activated it and used it for the first time to make a purchase online and it was declined for just the fact it was an online purchase, they also locked her card at that time. Nobody called to notify her, she got an email from the company the next day saying the online purchase she had made had later been rejected by the credit provider. She ended up calling up the card issuer and "firing" them for the lack of customer service, and then used her regular card to redo the purchase, but not before calling their customer service and alerting them she was going to be mak

Yeah most of these "hole in the wall" shopping strip places with plastic outdoor furniture for seating, and pictures of the food above the counter, end up selling you greasy gristle in a box these days. Most are just plain nasty, bad for you, and bad tasting. Not that I expect any of it to be healthy, but if it's too nasty to enjoy, why even waste money there. We tried Mizu a few times the first year they were open. I wasn't impressed with anything there, I mentioned this to one of the servers the last time I was ever in there, who told me the owner was trying to adjust food quality, port

It was just a long shot anyways. But when your first turn on a computer there's usually a screen with text or a splash screen and it might say Press (xxx) to enter Bios/Setup. It may be in the documentation for the laptop on what to press. You have to be pretty quick about it these days. sometimes tapping it before the monitor powers up to catch getting into the bios. From there you may have a few or more menus where you setup date/time or manage drives and monitor hardware temps.. etc.. and there MIGHT be a setting in there for the drive management. But more than likely it cou

Restart it, press F8 or Del, as required to get into the Bios on the initial bootup screen, see if you can find a setting for Harddrive Acoustical management, it may be there and let you change a setting to keep the heads from parking so often.

LoL umm.. 4 pack of pre-stuffed salmon steaks from Sam's ~$14 (has fake crab meats in the stuffing, and skrimps, but dayum, it was da bomb, quite unlike the usual Sam's crap) Frozen Broccoli Florets, steamed over steamer on stove, I add the apple vinegar to mine, and topped with sliced swiss to melt. Last time I put apple vinegar on ALL the broccoli the wife dug in, spat her broccoli out, and gave me THAT look. And I got a double portion of broccoli that night with a side of cold shoulder.

Parents had the wooden ones on their house built back in the 80's, even with regular painting and maintenance they were falling apart within 15 years, just cheap bad materials in those. They got the aluminum ones with the foam insulation inserts and the metal backing, which made them less prone to flexing and a bit more durable than empty unbacked ones. Ordered them through Home Depot in the store and paid a low price for install at the time of order. I was there the day the installer came, and other than trying to get away with not putting the seal strips around the door which I caught h

And I saw your post on that, congratz. And yeah I give up. Can't teach anyone anything when they just act like a 5 year old and reword what you say and tell you how wrong you are and keep trolling. -
