Have a question for all you handy, DIY'rs out there.

Not to be pedantic.. But you don't want your walls to breathe at all. Kraft faced insulation in the walls prevent moisture from penetrating from outside through the drywall into the interior. Tyvek house wrap on the exterior sheathing, below the siding, prevents moisture and air from penetrating from behind the siding into the wall space. All moisture inside the house should only travel through the horizontal surfaces, that's why you only put non-faced insulation batting in the floor spaces, and blown in insulation in the attic space, so the moisture can penetrate up through th -

What you do.. is you go to a warehouse supply company and buy a roll or two of Plastic pallet wrap material with the handle. Then you go home.. and starting on one corner of your house, at the bottom, you run around and around and around your house working your way up until your entire house is wrapped in plastic. Then take a good sharp razor knife, and cut out your door entrance. There, no more drafty house!!! -
Okay.. I'll bite.. wtf is snoot? And we're having homemade pizza as well. Doing my half with spicy sausage and doing hers with diced honey ham and pineapple.

My wife and MIL were up there last night coming out one of the stores and wife said they were hog tying the one guy on the ground by the truck and he was being belligerent, cursing out the police and some such, she noted that they couldn't have been out of their teens.

We didn't get ours from Blue Flame but from another local distributor and paid $2.49, most of the companies are usually within a few cents of one another in each region. hth.

I worked all big 3 pizza delivery joints during my teens (full time) and early 20's (part time). Would that happen to be Luigi's Pizza on Ridge? I worked there too, one of the more fun, loosest places to work, they had enough drivers that I could show up on the weekends and work as I pleased, no schedule, which was nice. Wife and I along with others we know have eaten Chicken World now several times, we don't have a problem with waits as we call it in and pick it up, but we've had consistency problems. Food is always good, but keep having problems with sauces and sides missing.

I was about to come in this thread and lay down some smack defending putting some 24" low profile rims on my trailer home.

You could try smearing the screen with some Petroleum Jelly which would help blur the lights a good bit, available at most pharmacies. Or if in a pinch you could use kraft paper or even a garbage bag, altho most garbage bags are shiny and would just make the lights glaring more pronounced. But to be serious the last time I saw any type of "glare reducer" was back in mid 90's when they would sell them for the old green and black monochrome PC monitors, it was a plastic frame with a type of sheer material mounted in it that you would velcro to the monitor bezel.

Google TV: Has Anyone Bought This Lately?

I was researching on this just a few months back and got the impression it was too restrictive, not much uptake, and was basically a fail. Too many content holders want to be the gatekeepers of their content so it's become pretty much a non-starter compared to an already entrenched entity like Netflix. Too many buggy-whip manufacturers want to keep the carts on the road rather than realize the automobile is passing them by. WTF is a buggy-whip manufacturer mentality? <- Link -

How about giving you the BS about the hospital support staff? Like the food service and EVS folks who have to work these long holiday shifts where average pay is in the under $10 range? Because the Doctors nor Nurses sure as hell don't change bedsheets, mop pee off the floors,or prep the food stuffs which, in a Hospital, is a 24 hour job. If you don't like rampant capitalistic consumerism then don't participate. -

Wife and I just got word that the Walmart in E. Paulding is a MADHOUSE, there's no parking, and someone we know who went there has already been in several "Holiday Goodie Grabbing" fights, also said she was pushed down and trampled on at one point. I dunno sounds nutty to me. I'm about to go lie and bed and digest my bird, good luck to those out there actin' a fool. -
I don't think it's a 100% failed thing yet, but it's sitting at about 85% not going to happen. ATT is already putting $4B aside to pay DT for when the deal totally falls through and are still planning on defending themselves early next year. But more news sources have been coming out with the withdrawal being "Temporary" until they, ATT, go in front of a hearing. But all signs are pointing to T-Mobile divesting, when this doesn't happen, and selling off chunks of their US business as DT does not want to operate in the US any longer and were looking forward to this cash infusion to expand
-
Story just showed up over at BBR about an hour ago. Looks like ATT is trying to keep some part of the deal alive but it seems to be all but over folks. But insiders still claim DT wants to unload T-Mobile and get out of the American Market, rumors are now that Sprint may step in and grab them up.

Wife and I went to Home Depot on 120 @ Barrett Pkwy last night and we were the only people in the store NOT wearing orange vests. In fact they gave us the distinct feeling we were in their way the whole time we were in the store browsing. They were busy pulling out pallet after pallet of junk and wrapping it in black plastic so no one would pick up their "deals" before the designated time. Funny moment was when I asked one guy where the paneling was in the the store and he looked at us strangely and replied "Paneling? Could you be more specific?" and I replied "Well it's 4'x8' sheets of w -
My Internet is SLOW.... (Is It Just Me?)

I've been on the phone with ATT engineers on and off past 4+ weeks about their network that covers W. Cobb, E. Paulding, N. Douglas area and there have definitely been "problems" plural with their network. I've had customers whom the engineers could connect directly to the modem on premises but the modem could not resolve DNS through the ATT network. Today at my house here in middle Paulding I even had issues with dropped packets. Since I don't work for ATT I can't say for sure, but problems have been persistent and ongoing in our area but I've worked with my customers to get their accounts cr -

Paper Thin Indoor HDTV Antenna: Great Reviews
Riptides replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
My parents live over in E. Paulding off of Dragstrip.. er.. E. Paulding Boulevard or W/E and they have several cheap indoor antennas (think Big Lots clearance types) and can pick up all the HDTV channels. The wife and I live right here south of downtown Dallas, and even with an Amplified Mast antenna I have issues, depending on the weather, with picking up much more than the channel 11's on the TV in the bedroom. Come to find out, for my location, if I want this to work I need a higher mast and probably a rotator (antenna turning and aiming device), so I've just given up on making it work as I -
Just to go way off topic a moment, sort of. Here's a new computer under development, an Android based computer that is the size of a thumb drive.

Exactly.. It was roaring here and big clumps of leaves just flying up into the air and spinning all around .. was insane.
-
Yup. I live on other side of 61. I saw big bunches of wet leaves picking up and spinning around like dust devils and the trees were all blowing in a weird pattern. Again this is the 2nd time we've had one go right over us here, last time was that Saturday morning when it tore up 120 in marietta a few years back..
-
Yeah I was here at the house and the heavy rain stopped to nothing.. dead calm.. then winds picked up severely.. looked out and saw it.. had leaves spinning in my yard.. I'm right at 278/61.. jeebus.. this is the 2nd time we've had one pass right over the property here.

Marinated and grilled apple pork chops. Homemade Corn Bread and a can of black eyed peas courtesy of Luck's. The can of since any bean I try to soak and cook myself I tend to make into the consistency of baby food when I'm done. But I will chop up a fresh sweet onion to top the beans with.

+100 - This. I've done this this year and lost nearly 60 pounds so far and am approaching my ideal weight altho I've long since plateaued in my weight loss. I only drink one soda a day now, and do not eat fast food, unless it's baked chicken (chick fil-a) or a sensible salad from somewhere. Also I've made myself more active, as in project oriented, around the house, and altho I'm sore an awful lot I've seen massive results. Edited to add: I'm about to go see my doc here in a few and have him fuss me out over not maintaining my 10lb a month weight loss, sigh.. I know everyone i
