  1. attack attack attack.. feel better yet? How you choose to read something is really your failure, you just want to keep picking a nit. How else does someone word a fact that's a fact that passes your "oh you're blaming them test" then? I mean you've just mainly been repeating what I said, twisting it, then saying I'm wrong.. Then you result in going for the personal attack to get your point across. I see you're really good at that in much of your posts to others on here as well. I mean really you couldn't even figure out how to edit together your 3 responses starting the 2nd
  2. And that was pretty much my point. But somehow you turned it around to "PWN" me over it. Nice trolling spanky. But I wasn't "blaming" I was stating a fact. You need the disc you call up and if you are under warranty you pay a little, if not the current price is $115 for recovery disks. That's Dell policy. In fact what I said regarding the disks were: But you conflate it and twist it trying to put the meaning into my mouth that MS won't support any aspect of an OEM install. Nope, was just talking about the discs which isn't the same as your: It's really you who have h
  3. I'm not getting hammered you're the one that keeps changing definitions and twisting what I say. I think the reading comprehension is fail on your part chief, as you've been in attack mode at me since you jumped in on this. And really 3 posts in a row to make a point on me? I think you need a new hobby. what I said is "Oh and lets NOT mention how there's only a recovery DVD now where it access a partition on the HDD to reimage your main partition with a fresh install if you screw windows up. But if you want a real install DVD for Windows that's another add-in they get
  4. So does your epeen grown a little bigger the more you attack folks on p.com or what?
  5. Well in my case I got the install dvd since I upgraded to Win7 x64 Ultimate and wanted the disk to go along with, but I did use their datasafe backup and it cost me 40 cents cause it took two blank DVD's. Some of us like to play games that use DirectX. Altho I'm getting to the age where I see a game, go oooh that looks cool, then I look it up on youtube and watch someone else play through them.
  6. I just want to know how Microsoft can help you obtain a Dell/HP OEM recovery disc, and have obviously (to some) been doing so for the past 15 years. Things are much different when you're an end-user and not enterprise IT with a MSFT partnership. Otherwise there wouldn't be thousands of posts on tech forums of people wanting to "borrow" a flippin recovery DVD that Dell charges $115 for once your PC is out of warranty.
  7. No idea. Probably old age and being crotchety or something.
  8. As an aside: The HP/Compaq lists the Asus M2N68-LA as being: Manufacturer's motherboard name: Asus M2N68-LA But guess they're ignorant as I am.
  9. LOL because those boards were made by the manufacturers listed, and both sold to Dell and Compaq based on their specs. The only time they went through Dells/Compaqs hands were for final assembly and burn in. But what do I know, obviously my Bachelors isn't worth the paper it's printed on. In fact I bet you didn't even look those boards up.
  10. Hey Nitro since I'm so ignorant and everything I said is totally wrong. Can you at lest tell me what manufacturers computers the following motherboards were in? Foxconn LS-36 Foxconn DG33M03 Asus M2N68-LA Asus M2N61-AX Because I understand since you know more than me and I'm so poorly informed, as you point out over and over again, those motherboards would never be in a Dell or Compaq system.
  11. Crap man that's what I've been trying to say, but then it hits you to try to make the point to me? And nothing is false about the point I was making that you can build a BETTER computer for at the same price of these crap in a box budget systems, especially when you start adding in the extra memory the computer will need for the OS that Dell charges 3x for, and the money spent to warranty when local shops give you same for free. Awesome, time to put you to pasture and bring in some new blood i think. Sure all of them did, IBM, HP, Dell were all at one time eng
  12. Things change is all I can say. When I got my laptop warranty prices for onsite was over $100. But still. You suggest buying bottom dollar PC's for bottom dollar prices, I don't blame you for needing to pay extra for support. Dell has gone round and round on what they offer for support, and maybe this year it's not limited but it has been in the past. But I've already noticed you think you can divine what the deal is with others when you haven't a clue. Clevio and Arima are two of the actual manufacturers of Dell higher end motherboards. Also Foxconn and ECS have made boards fo
  13. BBQ chicken and baby swiss!!! With collards and corn bread.
  14. I've decided to throw some chicken breasts on the grill tonight, with a sweet BBQ sauce, burn them to a crisp, and top with some baby swiss, just for all y'all haters.
  15. Are those the one's that are spicy? They're only good if they induce a cheesy burn going in.
  16. Well when the urge to strangle hits, sometimes waiting isn't condusive to relieving the urge amirite? Btw, I have some airplane cable but not the same thing, I know.
  17. You heathern! Thou shalt never know the epicurean delight of a chicken, bacon, mushroom, and swiss. I like banana's on toast with peanut butter. Also like pickled okra, as a snack. I've also been caught with a packet of feta cheese, a spoon, and a look of indulgence on my face.
  18. In a study, ladies and gentlemen, of mind control and psychological warfare. it is not enough to simply review the latest technology of coercion the most recent gadgetry and techno junk littering the hardware and supply depots of governments and so called cults. You see far more dangerous than these appliances is the practice behind them. Ages old. The underground current which informs the modern project in this modern era. You see for life in our modern era is little more than life than in an open air mind control lumbratory existence. They can transform the mass of targeted participa
  19. Please don't presume you can tell me what I am or am not doing. As being able to build two high-end gaming PC's for the price of one of their Alienware systems is not the same as agreeing to: Dang everyone must be wrong tonight then. So how much would that $500 budget box cost when you add in their premier warranty costs of "tech onsite"? Which btw my friend did pay for but guess what? It's limited and after the mobo first burned up the ram in his system and was replaced by said tech, the next option was to cough up more money to have another tech show up or go with the Del
  20. I can only say I disagree. In the past, for the price of a "Dell" gaming system, I was able to build two gaming computers for myself and my wife, using better specced parts with longer warranties on those parts than Dell ever offers, even when you cough up the big bucks for their best warranty. Anecdotally a friend of mine went with Dell, against my advice, then when his motherboard failed in less than a year Dell's warranty consisted of sending him a new motherboard and printed instructions on how to replace it himself. It's commonly known these branded box assemblers use the low
  21. If you want new, build your own, there's youtube videos by the shatload of everyone doing it. If you can build with legos you can assemble a PC. The only problems that may crop up will be if a part is a fail part and you don't know the troubleshooting steps or have other equipment to test with. First AMD based system I ever built in late 90's, I got it built, the OS installing and it went black. Powersupply I could test in another system, the CPU and Motherboard, I had nothing to test with and gambled on sending the motherboard back to the supplier for replacement and luckily I guessed
  22. You can almost build an entirely new budget box PC with legitimate OS license for that amount these days yourself. Then you have the reassurance that the parts are warrantied by not only the parts supplier but also the part manufacturers.
  23. Of course man bites dog (rich get caught scamming the rich or poor) is much more of interest in today's news rather than dog bites man (another poor person scammed someone). We can't legislate against ignorance and rarely does education against these things ever take, generally the best lessons are those learned the hard way. But I was agreeing with you above, the online scams that work are those that aren't put into place by a someone hiding out in their mom's basement, or the unfortunates and poor in the local ghettos, but rather organized by people smart enough to insulate themselves
