  1. I don't know which is better.. this version or the Hawaiian singer's one.
  2. Here's a news story from April 27, 2011 ..... Same here, tried all providers over past 10 years, cell service is not reliable enough in my home to drop my landline. Also, even if you drop your pots you still can make "emergency services" calls to 911 via the landline, thumbs up to C. Mark Willix Edit: I need some caffeine.
  3. Dare I mention that ATT has recently changed their TOS (terms of service) to state that users of their service may not participate in class action law suits against them, and that by paying for your bill you agree to this term?
  4. I think the last class-action to go up against ATT just got the consumers awarded something like $15 off their phone bills for 6 months, customers who were eligible for said rebate had to call ATT themselves and "request" the rebate even after it was awarded, and it took like 5 years to get that award.
  5. Yes you can keep what's called "Naked DSL" but if you drop your POTS (plain old telephone service) they will tack on a surcharge for not having it. I haven't looked up in awhile how much that may now be. Also I know when I was in Florida* if you dropped your telephone service, they'd still have to provide you with "emergency service" meaning you could still dial 911 from your home phone, but you wouldn't have an actual phone number anymore, nor could anyone call in or you call out, except to 911. But I don't know if that was a Florida state thing or what. EDIT: *This was back in the
  6. LOL.. nub is newb which started out as a newbie.. it's the new texting lolspeak, and drives me insane to try to figure out WTF folks are talking about sometimes, and my reply was tongue-in-cheek, no offense intended. Texting shorthand is definitely going to lead to grammatically challenged adults in the next gen.
  7. We, as consumers, have done lost that battle. It was waged and fought in the early 00's. The FCC ruled that whoever owns the copper/coax gets to make the rules. At one time they were told to share. But choices like Covad, Earthlink, LighteningDSL.. etc.. have pretty much gone away by the biggest corps lobbying to get to make their own rules. What's left isn't much to speak of. ATT et al told other companies to go put in their own lines, which in today's market is unpossible, we the taxpayers subsidized copper POTS in the early days then ATT were told they could own it. Comcast bought out most
  8. Well it was obvious once we hit a popular genre of music called "Grunge" it'd have to be all downhill from there.
  9. Yeah those alcohol additives sure have made my small engine a lot less reliable at the most inconvenient of times.
  10. I was wondering about that. The site I got my quotes from was also a infosale site trying to sell the stuff as pet feed.. etc.. hence my not linking to them. But they only mentioned once how it's sorta like a rough edged silica type product that slices open the parasites. So that did cross my mind about what happens if you inhale the powder.
  11. LOL nope. I didn't get the notice cos they're already ripping me off for having to take long distance to get a "package" price on home phone, will all the caller ID, waiting, 3way calling (which isn't what it sounds like), and internet. Not long after the Bellsouth buyout by ATT I went onto their jiggered up merged Bellsouth/ATT site to "review" my account. I'd remove long distance and it would add $10 to my bill.. add it back and it would drop $5.. I did this several times and noticed it was cumulative, so after about 10 minutes removing and adding it my phone bill was going to ru
  12. UR a nub. LOLWTFBBQ!! Plnkng FTW!11 Sure they value their 24's and 4 twelves in their new 'Lac. (24" gold rims, 4 twelve inch speakers, in their Escalades) Mom.. What's a seedee? Oh that thing like a DVD?
  13. Thanks. I just learned it wasn't just for exotic aquaria/pool filtering.
  14. It's that thing hidden under them reverse tramp tattoo's at those "working my way through nursing school" watering holes.
  15. I heard that some scientists invented this little blue pill. And you can drop that sucker in your gas tank and mow as many lawns as you can handle. I mean you can just go all day without having to worry about running out. Supposed to last 12 hours at least, just think of how many yards you could get to do every day.
  16. Washed our dogs in Dawn brand soap for 2 weeks straight every other day and they were still all eat up with fleas after going outside. If it works for you great, but didn't do diddly but dry our dogs skin out here and exacerbate the flea bites.
  17. Well once you get your mower fixed you can go back to:
  18. We've been having an amazing flea infestation on our 15 acres. But not in the house, not on our cats, only on our dogs. Been treating the animals with Comfortis from the vet, which works amazingly. But Frontline, and the generic Frontline stuff that went on sale on the shelves this year isn't working at all anymore. We've also treated the yard around the house, but with this much land and wildlife around us, possums, squirrels, raccoons, and deer running about.. not much use trying to treat more.
  19. I'd just watch the general area today to see if there are any live ones. You probably got them good with the wasp killer stuff, but better to be safe then stung. And if there are bunches of them left, yeah, they can sometimes dig out a new entrance.

Hmm.. I look at the sales papers all the time for all the local grocery stores since I do the shopping for our household and stick to a budget, and have always noted when something is on sale with their "store customer ID cards" being used, it generally says "Limited 2 or 4 items" at this price. So yes they do keep a database on your purchases, and no it's not limited to limiting cigarettes these days as those advertised deals are usually the draw for a customer to come do their shopping at that store and not a competitors, so they do not want someone "extreme" to come in and buy out all that
