The thing I've noticed about the new ATT DSL modems is that if you're streaming or downloading they can get awfully hot, like fry an egg on them hot. Then they'll start to drop sync. I've suggested to friends and family if they're having sync issues to go get a small fan (like a tiny one from biglots) and put the modem on top of it, er.. it's one of those desk fans that swivel up and down and will blow straight up. This will help prolong the life of the modem and keep it from messing up as often if that is the issue. It has worked in many cases fixing sync issues more often than not, as

In a nutshell basically everything that sits on the shelf in a brick and mortar store that a consumer can physically pick up and carry to the register has a huge cost associated with them being able to do so. These days it's being referred to more and more as a convenience cost. The reason why the price can differ so greatly is that online retailers don't have to pay for any of the traditional costs associated with running a store, you don't have the kids that grab the buggies from the parking lots, the cashier's to ring up the purchases, the stock boys who unload the trucks and put the i

Could someone explain the closed baby funeral thread to me
Riptides replied to Gipper Girl Rocks's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The story is real enough, but the person soliciting monies isn't the lady who had two children who passed away unexpectedly. First they want money for funerals, that seem to have already happened, then there's other things alluding to wanting monies to fight "vaccinations" and "doctors".. So there's a hurt young lady, who put her story online, and there's others seeking to exploit her story to get their "message" out and solicit money in the process. Plus in her social media pages, and her friends, there's enough evidence alluding to the fact that she may not have been living the h -
Could someone explain the closed baby funeral thread to me

I've read through the story several times now, and it does nothing but scream SCAM at me with each reading. It's barely coherent at best. Not to mention being short on facts but chock full of emotional triggers. I know personally of several legitimate websites set up for the donation of monies/help to those with sick children or infants and not a single one of them contained a rambling story that seeks to put blame on anything and everything "healthcare". Nor are these stories forwarded through emails. Just that alone screams it being a scam. There's tons of outlets for giving to ch -

The best in Paulding is probably Taki, and is the most expensive in the Hiram area. HaiHai is okay, but i got turned off when sitting at the sushi bar and watched the guy pull it out of the freezer and microwave it before prepping.. really. I don't have anything good to say about Fuji personally, heard so many talk them up, but went to do a takeout tray one night and it was a tiny order and they wanted to charge me around $100 for what was $40 worth. They got into an argument with me over how the prices in the store weren't the same as "take out" on the sushi, so they got to keep the

I will back up Cedarcrest PC on this one, as his prices ARE reasonable. You need a VHS player, 4-head style with S-Video output is king. Along with a capture device (video card with that ability or external USB/Firewire type input device). Then you need conversion/capture software. When you want to go full DVD you have to have the proper Authoring program as well. Then with all those ducks in a row, you still need to take the time to play the VHS tape in realtime, no speed-dubbing. VHS tapes degrade more and more with each passing day, if you're on the fence about getting this don

Actually once you get into court with a patent claim you have to show that there's no prior-art on the patent, IE: a device/idea that is similar that already exists. So in fact, everything that Apple has claimed they hold a patent on, there has been prior art, and you can catch it on TBS when they air the reruns.

I would guess just out of my butt, between the two prices for what you want. You'd get a much better idea if you posted over at http://www.dslreports.com/forum/homerepair

Parenting by reward is creating the "Microwave" generation
Riptides replied to BH87's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I know a couple who both each run their own successful businesses and live in a mansion. Their two kids, who both should have been entitled whiny brats, were both taught that reward only comes after hard work. One is going to UGA now and playing football, while maintaining a near 4.0 average, and the other has struggled with dyslexia but wasn't allowed to play sports until he was able to overcome his learning problems and bring his grades up, and is now looking at a baseball scholarship at another Uni. The thing is, both parents parented the kids to not be handed anything, and to wor -
I'd been furious too to find a pipe and nothing to put in it to smoke. Talk about a tease! But yeah this could have been a teaching moment instead of an outraged just to be outraged moment.

Well considering your house is in the best neighborhood in the county, I'll assume that your "backside neighbors" are just jelly.

Today my pet peeves are brought to you by an owner operated home rental company. 3. Folks who are taking a personal day while running a business to do personal things who keep saying call me back in an hour. 2. Folks who can't be arsed to take 5 minutes to discuss the ways in which I want to give YOU my money. 1. Folks who finally get frustrated at you on the last call, just because you called, and reply "I'll call you back" when they never took your contact info in the first place. I'd venture a guess that the "ready to move in" home you're advertising on Craigslist wil

Didn't they just allow liquor to be served in restaurants a few years back in Dallas City Proper? Well it was passed just in time for the "new" restaurants to open up on 278 almost 8 years back... Give them time to catch up with the rest of the US.. sheesh So maybe in 20 years...

While one specific thing may trigger them, like in my case having to walk up to the checkout and pay for groceries and suddenly feeling like I was having a heart attack each time (and this is before the first item was put onto the conveyor belt), they're usually symptomatic of something else much deeper. What that deeper issue may be is for you and your doctor to determine, and subsequently, how to treat it. I did 3 months on Xanax last summer, starting with a high Mg the first month and then going to a reduced dosage for 2 months, to help treat sleep disorder and the sudden attacks.
