  1. NOBODY but Craig Rainwater touches my HVAC stuff. They are honest, reasonable, and thorough.
  2. Have an '09 Jeep Laredo. Have had an ongoing problem with the ambient air temp sensor throwing a P0073 code. All this stupid sensor does is display the outdoor temperature on the dashboard. But it's wired through the power train module so it won't pass inspection. This has been an on and off problem for several years, I've replaced 5 or 6 sensors, and the latest one (Saturday) is stuck displaying 32F. Went to the local Jeep dealer to see if they had any history of this problem and code. Service writer and a mechanic had the typical deer in the headlite looks. "Never heard of such a pr
  3. I have used Skyline, very satisfied. The other guy mentioned above made an appointment and didn't show up. Left two messages with him, no response, so went with Skyline. Their truck was at my house in less than 2 hours after we called.
  4. Thank God for the 12-steps of Liberals Anonymous.
  5. Aw, come on, people. Can't a guy have a couple of bowls of chili without everybody getting all panicky?
  6. Yup, and probably kicked some butt while you were at the Sheriff's office, to boot.
  7. I did (attempt to) read Pubby's post. Two long paragraphs about Surepip's issues and some bleeding heart stuff about injustices? I saw no facts concerning the situation the OP was complaining about. Unless I missed something in all the turmoil of this board not working right.
  8. Oh, I'm paying attention. I asked WHAT the incident was and how old the child was and if it was by an employee or an elected official. Specific questions which have not been answered, only a bunch of bleeding heart stuff and attempted misdirection. I don't care if the problem was with Bruce Harris or Gary Gulledge, or Drew Lane or Dick Donovan. Or Jerry Shearin or David Austin. Or whomever. That's not the point. And when the alleged incident took place is somewhat irrelevant as far as the SOL is concerned if you can prove conspiracy to make a cover up.
  9. So, how old was the child at the time of the alleged incident? Just what sort of incident are you alleging happened? Are you insinuating that a County official committed this alleged offense? Or a school employee? Let's face it. If you are talking about a minor female being molested (or worse) by an elected official, you have something to be pissed about. If the incident is about an 18 year old boy getting his butt whipped by a county employee for acting like a little jerk, maybe he had it coming. If you want any support or suggestions, you better be getting specific. Ot
  10. \ Which prosecuting attorney? Donovan or his predecessor? If you truly have a criminal complaint and can verify the complaint was made to a DA prior to the expiration of the SOL, you still have grounds. If they did an investigation and found no grounds for prosecution, then methinks you are just stirring bovine fecal matter. If the DA's office just blew it off (for whatever reason) you can have the SOL set aside.
  11. Statute of Limitations? Really? Even I, who got my law degree at WalMart, knows that any complaint made before the "deadline" stops the SOL. Once the complaint is made, the SOL does not apply any more. The investigation and prosecution does not have to be made prior to the SOL date. If you can prove you made the complaint and have the referenced emails, the SOL has nothing to do with anything. The SOL clock stops while there is a case pending. Know this from dealing with a quack MD and trying to sue him for malpractice. So, since you think there is a cover up going on, why not try
  12. If Sheriff Gulledge did make the comment attributed to him, and you can prove he said it, you need to haul your butt downtown to the GA Attorney General's office. Impeachment proceedings should be on your mind. He is charged under the State Constitution with upholding the laws of the State, no matter who "signs" the checks.
  13. Actually, Rhett, the only person who can accept the Sheriff's resignation is the Coroner. The Sheriff gets his budget money from the County's general tax funds, but he does NOT answer to the Commission in any way. He can, if he wishes, cooperate with the Commission, but he is not at all subject to their instructions, any more than he would be the instructions from the DA or the judges or the Governor. But, we ARE talking about Paulding County, so nothing really matters except the really small gene pool.
  14. Hummmh...if he's gonna lose anybody, I know who I'd vote for.
  15. I think it is only fair that YOU buy a political candidate's membership just like you require everybody else to do. And since you would only be taking money from one pocket and putting it in the other, you should hand that money to ME, (since I thought of it first) to insure fairness across the board.
  16. I'm not so sure about all the employees at Staples. In my experience, the people at Office Max are much friendlier and much more helpful than those at Staples. When I need office stuff, Staples is the last place I think of going.
  17. Mrs. Howard, don't hold your breath on getting any answer whatsoever from "Concerned". The County's spinmeisters haven't given him/her the talking points yet. The management teams at the major hotel chains have people who do nothing but research localities for their expansion. If those professionals don't see a need in Paulding, there likely isn't one. The mental midgets who run this county, elected and bureaucrats alike, have no clue how to accomplish/promote/sustain any facility. Which is probably why we, the taxpayers, will have to shoulder that burden. We didn't need an airp
  18. If he's real smart and you can't read his handwriting.....he's gonna be a doctor.
  19. Yer getting to be a crotchety old phart, St.Radial.
  20. I think my next door neighbors were on that ship not long ago. I asked him what he thought. His reply was "the food SUCKED!!!!!". I think he said the cruise left from New Orleans, but those ships could be anywhere from week to week.
  21. Yeah, pretty much. Several years ago I had the idea to make pet memorials on the Rainbow Bridge theme. Other business interests got in the way, and the project just is on hold. Blueeyes904's comments about Drs. Wegenhart at EPAH caught my eye, because our dogs are always seen by Ken or Heather. If you go to my www.glassdogs.com site, you will see several other breeds that I have made memorials for. The black and tan English Cocker on the front page of that site was my "heart" dog, she slept between the top of my head and the headboard for 14 years. She's been gone almost 11 years,
  22. I'll go you one even more....can you think of one meaningful piece of legislation EVER to come out from under the Gold Dome? The only time Georgians are safe is when the Legislature is in recess.
  23. I sure would be interested in knowing what the attendance was to this event?
  24. Most 12-step programs have a step that goes something like this: Made direct amends to people we had harmed, except when to do so would harm them or others. I'd say your "right" to absolute morality ends where my nose begins.
