I wonder if those of us with Cherokee heritage in Paulding County outnumber the Southern Baptists?

A casino is just one of MANY places you should not be allowed to go to. Attended or otherwise.

As a long time fan/observer of Big12 football, I think you'd be surprised how well KSU would stand up against the SEC. They are NO pushover. Don't confuse the Wildcats from Manhattan, KS with the sorry-assed Jayhawks from Lawrence.

Really? I've been going to MIZZOU games at Faurot Field in Columbia, MO longer than you've been born. I've seen 100"s of games there, and I can remember only one fight, A damn drunk Jayhawker from Kansas came into the MU student section and started something he later woke up in the hospital regretting, The final score was something like 76-6, MIzzou on top. I'm pretty sure that the fans of Vandy, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and even Miss State would resent being lumped into the white trash category that is so well deserved by Auburn and LSU fans. And Clemson fans are in a league of t

The best way to shut an Alabama fan up is to ask "What year did you graduate?"

I think it is safe to say that there is nobody opposed to a VIABLE center, the vast majority would insist on it being a private venture. It is also pretty obvious that if there were a real commercial demand for such a facility, a developer such as Hilton would be doing their homework. I do not understand why anyone would think Paulding County government would be capable of administering a convention center and attracting events and promotion of them. Hell, they can't even enforce unsightly premises ordinances along one of the major entryways into the county. (Anybody drive

Unless, of course, you are into solar energy. Can you say "Solyndra"? /sarcasm

I can see some plusses and minuses to there being a convention center here in Paulding. If one were to be developed, I am strongly opposed to any governmental agency having their hands in it. A "day use" center, meaning one that doses not incorporate lodging, would be underutilized, One with lodging and evening entertainment would be in direct competition to the Braves' new project.

I remember 2013 just like it was yesterday.

I'm not sure the Fowlcons ever had much of a O-line to demolish. There are only two defensive players that would even have a chance to start on any other team, Witherspoon and Moore. Most of the rest of the Defense would be scout team players anywhere else. Unfortunately, they have so little talent to work with, virtually none of the existing team is trade bait to get a few more high level draft choices. Given the injury situations to the receiver corps, what team would trade a first round draft choice for Julio Jones or Roddy White? Bottom line is, this team is 4 or 5 yea

DO YOU EVER WATCH THE BARRET-JACKSON AUCTIONS?

I had a 59 Vette like the one in the photo, red and white, with factory power windows and a factory 3 speed. My mother was absolutely sure I was going to kill myself in it, so she agreed to pay the difference on any new car I wanted as long as it wasn't a Corvette. I don't think she ever knew what she bought me was capable of. A 69 Camaro SS. All she knew was that if it had an automatic tranny it was safe...in her mind anyway. That Camaro would eat Vettes for breakfast. -
DO YOU EVER WATCH THE BARRET-JACKSON AUCTIONS?

The '63 Stingrays had a split rear window. This car obviously doesn't have a split window. So we are left to wonder if it is a '63 that George Baris garbaged up, or is it a 64 or later? -

Back in the early 80's I owned a pretty successful photo processing lab in St Louis. One day, I was in jeans and a tee shirt, driving a company van on a parts run for one of the film processing machines that needed repair. I was a bit dirty and greasy. Was headed out Market Street away from the Arch, and got stopped at a light where the Mercedes dealer was located. There was a white 450SL on the showroom floor, and I decided to wheel in and take a look. I wandered around the showroom for a few minutes, and finally this three-piece-suited snob named Herb came over and asked if he cou -
While the AK-47 is obviously a dependable weapon, one has to wonder about the preceding 46 versions?

Unfortunately, many of those nominated for this dinner wouldn't as my Daddy used to say, know the truth if it bit them in the azz.

some really great ideas, folks. Unfortunately, the current POTUS is not dead, but if he were, I'd have to have him and Thomas Jefferson sitting side by side. Just so I could hear Jefferson ask, "What the Hell were you thinking, boy?"
-
So, Santa brings you a time machine. You can "resurrect" 6 people from across the pages of history, and have them all together at one dinner party. Languages are no barrier, and you only get to do this with historical figures. (No family members for this little game) So, who would you invite to dinner? I'll start: Ronald Reagan, Winston Churchill, Albert Einstein, Will Rogers, Lewis & Clark (OK, I know it's 2 people. It's my game, OK?), and finally, from the sports pages, Lou Gehrig. Your turn...

When I lived in StLouis back 20 years ago, they had to implode an entire housing complex which was located not too far from the Budweiser plant because the steel I-beams that the elevators ran on and some structural members were totally rusted through because of the urine. I can't remember the name of the place now, but there were several 4 or 5 story buildings that were blown up/down into a pile of rubble. -

Well, just damn! That oughta be enough $$$ to pay for your own groceries. If you are THAT busy, you probably don't have time to eat anyway, so what's the problem? -

The beat of the rap music sounded just like an oncoming train. Probably had those "tunes" up to about 120 decibels. Another splash of Clorox in the old gene pool. -
Thanks very much! Do you happen to know what the fees are?

SWMBO is interested in finding a one of those gyms that has a bunch of different machines. The kind that is 24 hrs/day, key card access. She says she wants one that is clean and doesn't have a bunch of perverts running around. Doesn't want one with a trainer, etc, Anything like that in Paulding? Well, I know if it is Paulding, there may be perverts, but......

Student Hugs Teacher, Gets Suspended For A Year

Remember when you were in kindergarten? We had to bring a rug/pad to take a "nap" on about half way through the 1/2 day session. One of my classmates crawled over from her rug and snuggled up with me from behind. ( Yeah, I was a hottie, even back then.) We always kid each other at our HS reunions as being the "first guy/gal we slept with". And we are FB friends and all that. Good thing all this political correctness hadn't taken root at the Broadway School in Jefferson City, MO back then. Funny thing was, the kdg teacher had the same last name as mine, but was not family. Sh
