I guess I am a people person. But the only stories I hear lately are where were you stationed at before etc..And there are only so many Navy bases so it is the same place over and over. The ones that kinda tug at my heart strings are the Sailors that are going IA for 1 year and leaving behind pregnant wives or little babies.

That isn't true for me. I stopped working 10 years to stay at home with the kids and I found a job within a few months making more than I did at my last job. Now with that being said..I'm sure I would be making way more $$$$$$$$$$ if I had kept working. DH has 2 jobs waiting for him when he retires from the military, he just has to decide which one to take. Just seems to me you have to be willing to move where the work is. Don't let having a home stop you RENT it out. Hang in there and remember GOD never gives you more than you can handle..That is what my MAMA always said.

HAHA that is funny! The car my son currently drives is a car we bought soon after his 1st birthday! I agree just have his birthday at home. You can even make the cake.
