  1. Very true, so let's enforce the laws already on the books. Crossing our borders without proper papers is ILLEGAL, working in our country without proper papers is ILLEGAL. I have no problems with LEGAL IMMIGRANTS, but the illegals have to go. They can come back when they go through the proper channels.
  2. You're not really expecting an honest answer to that question are you? Profiling is illegal so it isn't supposed to be done. Crossing into our country without proper papers is illegal also, but it's ok?? Just choose the laws you want enforced and ignore the rest huh?
  3. have you already forgotten that Princess Pelosi said we have to pass the bill before we read all of it? I've heard horror stories of all the little hidden gems in that death bill.
  4. What does it matter what others have? You aren't entitled to any of it. What gives you the idea that you deserve portions of what others have worked all their lives for? If you don't work for it, you don't get it. And screw Uncle Sam for holding a pistol to my head and stealing from me to give to others.
  5. "As democrats we believe in a just transparent and open government"
  6. How many of those "illegal migrant workers" are also druggies, robbers, home invaders, criminals?
  7. I was responding to a post from someone who questioned my work ethic, or else I would never have mentioned it. I'll also clue you in on how, as a superintendent, I ran my jobs. At 7 am the workers were at the tool trailer to check out the company tools and at 3 25 they were picking up company tools to return to the trailer. I never expected them to do anything on their own time although some construction companies did expect them to be at their task at 7 am with company tools plugged in and ready to go. They were expected to check company tools out on their own time, not company's time. S
  8. I'll tell you just a bit about my work ethic. My time started at 7 am but I was always there around 6 am, preparing for the workload of the day. My time was over at 3 30 but it was usually 4 or later before I left. That's the way of the construction business though. It never bothered me because it was the way I was raised I guess. And sometimes there were no lunch breaks or coffee breaks, especially if the concrete trucks or cranes were rolling in. Like I said, part of the job.
  9. It's amazing to me that no one is talking about all the time that employees steal from employers. Longer lunch breaks, even if only 5 mins, internet surfing, computer solitaire, gabbing at the water cooler, smoke breaks, excessive bathroom breaks. You're sounding like a bunch of whiny babies, knowing full well you've wasted company time but still got paid for it.
  10. I've made 4 "illegal" left turns there this past week because it wouldn't turn green for me. I sat the first time for almost 12 mins before I said the heck with it and turned left onto Bill Carruth from Virgie Ballentine.
  11. It tells me that 10% of us is out there busting our arses trying to live the American dream, not sitting idly by hoping the govt will take care of our sorry butts. We're trading our freedoms for a security blanket offered by a socialistic govt.
  12. Along these same lines concerning welfare kids..... I can tolerate helping a single mom with one child but after that one, she's on her own. She found out what caused the pregnancy, she knows she can't afford children and if she goes out and gets pregnant again, she can pay for it or ask her family to help. I'm tired of supporting baby factories.
  13. Exactly where does tipping end? Do homeowners tip contractors for home improvements, such as siding or roofing, or painting? Do you tip the mechanic who replaced your transmission or changed your oil? Do you tip the salesperson at the local store who helped you find a hard-to-find item? Do you tip your doctor, dentist? It's got to end somewhere, doesn't it? Tipping owners of a business seems a bit extravagant to me, although I have done it when I used to have hair to get cut.
  14. New Hope and New Ga, yes on possibly having a draft system, but no on all the others. Not enough players or teams.
  15. He is the cancer destroying our country so maybe he can cure it by not running or we can cure it by not voting him back into office
  16. Isn't it ironic that they're celebrating emancipation day on the very day that the feds hold us captive with their tax laws, holding a gun to our head, forcing us to pay, pay, pay? Oh, for the day when the fair tax is eventually passed and the IRS no longer exists. Then and only then will April 15th be a true holiday.
  17. Most parks do not have enough players in each age group to draft. New Hope and New Ga are the only parks with enough players to draft.
  18. Back in 2008 Steven Chu made the statement that we need to do whatever it took to raise the cost of gasoline to the levels in Europe. When PBO took office, guess who became energy secretary? And remember what PBO said about the coal industry? "I'll bankrupt the coal industry". His words, not mine.
  19. It's almost impossible to have a draft system in Paulding because of the size of the parks and the number of kids playing out of each one. Take for example if you lived in Union and your child was drafted by a coach in Brunt Hickory. Can you imagine the miles you would rack up by the time season was over because of practice and home games at BH? The same could be said for Yorkville vs Hiram or Yorkville vs East. The county is too large and the independent parks don't have the number of players to make a draft feasable in PC. JMO though.
  20. You want to arouse enthusiasm in our moderators? At my age I'd settle for arousing anyone.
  21. I hope the day comes when we pass the Fair Tax and eliminate the IRS completely. Then there would be no problems like these. We could even make April 15th a federal holiday.
