When I was coaching rec ball, I had several parents come to be and tell me to sit "Johnny" because of his school work. I sat the child and he was made to watch his team participate from the dugout. That seemed to work just fine. Those kids do not like to watch others have fun while they're sitting. You might try that but the coach has to be on board with you and most of them are, no matter the talent that is being wasted by sitting in the dugout.

None of this surprises me. The Reps and Dems can't compromise for the common good, states refuse to work together ( the Lake Lanier water woes between Fl, Ga, and Al come to mind ), cities and towns don't want to cooperate and help each other. It's as though everyone is afraid someone is going to come out a bit better then the other, so the hell with it, we'll both stay the same. Is it another form of class warfare ? That seems to be the common denominator.

Does anyone have an explanation as to why there has been absolutely no work done on the road for the last 4 weeks, all the equipment is gone, but the barrels are still blocking one lane of traffic each way. Does the hiway contractor have a contract with the county that says they will pay rental on the barrels for as long as they're blocking traffic or what?

Anytime the NAACP and jackson and sharpton get involved in anything, you can bet your sweet arse it's racial. I've never seen them fight for the right of a white person. Even when blacks falsely accuse whites, (remember the lacrosse team or the rape case in the bar up north ), they ignore the facts. So yeah, it's racial when they're in the game.

Actually NINE people testified that Davis was the shooter and since then SEVEN have recanted. Some have tried to implicate Coles as the murderer but there was absolutely no evidence to tie him to the crime.

The true victims of this case are the family members of the slain officer. No one seems to care about their loss, just the loss of the life of a convicted murderer. It always is that way, isn't it? For a few days, people mourn the loss of life of a victim, but then, all their concern is on the possibility of a death sentence to the convicted person. Heaven forbid that justice is meted out. "He may have committed murder, but let's save his life and just imprison him for a few years. We'll tend to his needs and teach him right from wrong and put him back on the street where he belongs". H

Why after 20 yrs are they recanting their original testimony? Is it because the anti death crowd has bullied them into changing their story? After 20 yrs, I'd say that their original testimony is more correct than what their memory might conjure up today. Maybe they should be told..... ok, you've recanted, now I think we'll charge you with perjury because of your first testimony. Would they back track then? Also, did you know he was also convicted of another murder that same night? And the shell casings from that murder were of the same as the casings from the murder of the police office

It's a shame the Falcons didn't whip them with Vick on the field. That would have made it an even better game.
