Bill to Require Booster Seats For 7-8 Year Old
Teatime replied to NewsJunky's topic in RECENT TOPICS
My 9 year old JUST got to the point where she doesn't need her booster anymore. My teenage son used his until he was 12. I don't go by age, I go by size. If their feet don't touch the ground when they sit completely back, and if the belt doesn't fit them right .. they stay in the booster. It's about safety, that's all that matters to me. -
Shoes are hard to find. New Balance, I believe is still made in America. I wear them, however they don't make sandals or boots that I know of

I am surprised as well. All of my kids have enjoyed his books, and learned how to read doing so.

CHARLIE SHEEN: ANYONE ELSE WATCHING HIS PUBLIC MELTDOWN?
Teatime replied to lowrider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I'm not the train wrecking type. I don't care to watch it .. much better things in the world to focus on. -
I LOVE my dark humor. Whether or not it's healthy ... that's all relative. What's healthy to me, might not be for someone else and vise versa LOL

Doh, I got my seasons backwards. You're right, you can burn now .. it's come May that you can't.

I turned off the heat a few days ago .. to wake up to freezing this morning /shivers

It's not expensive, if you do it in a smart way. Also, I only look for things, while out shopping for other things. I don't spend anymore time looking for made in America things. I just always keep it in the back of my mind and keep an eye out for them.

Allergies are new to me. I didn't develop them, until a few years ago. After doing yard work yesterday, I can't get rid of this sinus headache from hell.

I LOVE thrift stores. I was able to replace ALL of my " made in china " dishes in my house with " made in America " ones. It's a struggle, I found that Target actually has more dishes made in China than Walmart Never assume that more expensive = made in America. Thrift stores so far, have been my best resource.

I've met you, and I don't think you're a bitch at all -
Her hubby is pretty awesome. He fixed my daughters back, when doctors couldn't. love him.

My daughter and I both very short hair. Both of us prefer it that way. I've had it long, hated it. I like short bobs the most. I love the zero maintenance of it. Less things to worry about or mess with.

I was forced to give up a child. My husband was given up for adoption. He has yet to find his birth mom. Thing is, when I met him .. he had the same attitude as you. However, after meeting me .. he realized that not all people really have a choice. Every situation is different. People shouldn't assume. just sayin.

I found the daughter that I was forced to give up as a teen on Facebook Oddly, I googled her name, and it just popped up. I was in complete shock. I tried for years to find her.

Yup, the flu has swept through our house and hubby's work. It took us over 4 weeks to get over it. First time I've been sick in YEARS. We made it through, wasn't fun but we made it. Because we don't do meds in our house, unless we're literally dieing. We did hot tea and honey. Works wonderful for congestion and sore throats. The tea and honey are full of natural antibiotics and are soothing. We had a mild fever, and took Tylenol for that. Other than that .. just lots of rest and fluids.

people really do need to worry about their own lives. It doesn't take a village to raise my kids, I can do it all by myself

PSA...Shocking toll of drug addiction, show your kids.
Teatime replied to RhondaW's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I have found that the shock and awe doesn't really effect my kids. Scare tactics don't seem to work. If they did, nobody in our generation would use them. I remember them cramming those videos down my throat as a child. Kids think " it won't happen to them ". I'm not saying that my kids will never do drugs ( prays that they don't ). However, I have found that so far, that educating them on the subject works MUCH better. I have 4 teens, 2 that are technically adults ... and so far so good. ( crosses fingers and toes ). -
Right now, it's illegal to burn anything. We do a burn once a year. We have it all in a burn barrel. We burn trees that have fallen or had to be trimmed back over the year. We always make sure we get a burn permit and that the weather is appropriate. If people use common sense and follow rules, it's not an issue.

What your husband did was abuse them. I have NEVER left any kind of mark on my kids .. however I have had bruises on my own hands from hitting something, instead of them
-
I just have no sympathy for them. After years of ripping people off My only concern is the employees. I hope they find something.

Have 6 kids, 4 that are teens. They make mistakes however, they also behave. I have spanked in the past on rare occasions. I usually don't have to spank my kids because they " know " that I will.

David Arquette: Beer At Age 4, Pot At Age 8
Teatime replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I drank at a young age ( can't remember exactly ). Somewhere around 6. I also had my first cigarette and joint before 12. I don't touch any of it now. Just because you're subjected as a small child, doesn't give you an excuse. As you grow and can make decisions, you only have yourself to blame.
