Do People Try To Change You To Their Liking
Teatime replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
My mother wouldn't check the mail without her makeup on growing up. I started wearing it at a young age, because of her. Up until I met my husband, I was terrified to be seen without it. He is the first person that ever loved me completely unconditionally. I stopped wearing makeup after we got married ... and there is so much freedom in that. Knowing that you are loved for who you are and that you are beautiful. -

I actually started 3 years ago when my teenage daughter almost died from eating a PBJ. It took almost 3 months for the doctors to figure out what she was allergic to. In those 3 months, we were scared to let her eat anything. So, I started making EVERYTHING from scratch. I mean from food to hygiene products. In those 3 months, everyone in the house lost allot of weight. Most of were never really overweight. For instance my daughter went from 105 to 90 pounds. She still weighs 90 pounds .. but she eats like a horse. I do not use whole grains. I use regular white flour. My family likes it -
I had very high blood pressure after having my last baby. It normalized after 3 months. They blamed it on hormones. That also made my heart feel like it was going to pounce out of my chest. Something else to consider, check your blood pressure.

I would head down to ER .. seriously. My son had some problems. They thought it was heart arrhythmia but it turned out to be walking pneumonia ... very scary stuff.

I agree, I went and saw the Dali Lama last October, and I'm sure he was paid. However, there is a sincerity .. A profound feeling that I get. I dunno this guy, just rubs me the wrong way -

I recently helped my oldest son lose 80 pounds so that he could join the Army. He was at the doctor for some blood work and she was there. She overheard me talking to him about weight. After he went in, she turned and asked me he lost so much weight. She and I talked about lifestyle and diet. We talked about preservatives in food being linked to weight gain. We talked about prescription medications being linked to weight gain. My father developed diabetes after he went on medication for his heart. We found out soon after .. that the medication actually caused his diabetes. IMO .. it's not suga -

My only issue with that video is that it seemed he was trying to sell something. I dunno, like he was reading a script someone else had written for him. Just my thoughts -
LOL, I did that while helping my son get in shape for the Army. drove him nuts! What type of workout are you looking for ? Cardio ? Weights ? And what area do you live in ? Those things might help in finding a workout buddy

As the saying goes .. The wisdom is in the wind and trees .. not the glass windows. All day I've been listening to birds sing outside my window. How incredible it would be, to be that free -
Again, I know exactly what you mean. I think sometimes, I'm just on another plane .. another dimension. My husband and kids understand me .. but other than them .. not many at all. Maybe we're aliens from outer space

Voices always run through my head. It's like a TV that is always changing channels lol. I do have conversations with myself, in my head all the time. However, I like to believe that I'm actually talking to my spirit guide. I'll ask questions and sometimes, I'll get answers. Sometimes it takes a few days .. but she never lets me down. -
I made a huge batch of vegan shortbread cookies for the kids. Nice yummys for a rainy, yucky day.

Did you know that each person has their own individual scent ? If people would stop using artificial, cancer causing chemicals on themselves, they might know it and actually like it. And while you say, I don't eat my perfume ... it does absorb into your skin, and into your bloodstream. Just a fyi.

I do have a gift. It wasn't until I was older that I realized it. My problem is that I'm not the most politically correct person. I lay things out as they are. I don't sugar coat. And in today's cushy, precious snowflake world .. it doesn't always set well lol. When I'm out and about, I usually keep my comments to myself. With family, I'm more .. myself. I'm not afraid to say what's on my mind. I find that people either really like me or they are really offended. Whichever the case though, I wouldn't want it any other way. -

I will try my best. -
LOL, I do get some strange looks .. but I don't do it for the humans. I do it for the birds in the sky and those that would like to have a clean home but don't have the ability to do it themselves.

Mine holds over 500 songs and I hook it up to the speakers in my car. No headphone thingies. My kids also hook theirs up to their stereo's. I like them because they hold allot of songs and I don't have to change out CD's.

I'm the same way. Even at home, I can never just " chill " .. or I do it's for very short periods of time. I guess being raised by Military is to blame. My kids always look busy when I walk in the room .. or else I give them something to do I would never make a good boss. I'm not sure how long I'd have employees.
