I love walking. I always take a Walmart bag or small garbage bag with me to pick up litter while I'm at it. It makes me feel better

Do People Try To Change You To Their Liking
Teatime replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
People tell me all the time that I should teach. I talked to a lady one day about diabetes. She was in the doctors waiting room, being tested. I told her my theories and my thoughts about diet. She wrote everything I said down She told me that I should teach. My extended family thinks I should teach. My oldest daughter told me the other day that I should " talk to people " for a living. My Husband thinks I should start a blog or an internet radio show. My only problem is .. I'm shy .. and I don't think people really want to hear what I have to say. nobody should be anything else th -

I would rather own the CD anyday. True, I rip them all and put them on my mp3 player .. but I love my CD's.

I dated a guy briefly in the 90's that did real estate. I watched him fudge papers and sell a home to a couple that had no income whatsoever. He used to brag about it.

Do People Try To Change You To Their Liking

I've always been too eccentric to really get along with most people. I've always lived life like looking into a window and watching others. The odd thing is, I like it that way. I like the fact that I have my own mind and am not influenced by others. I've been described as weird, eccentric, fascinating, smart ... but none of that really matters to me. It's just labels .. and nothing beats being yourself and telling the rest of the world to because if's nice in my little world and I really, truly don't need anyone else or their approval. -
We purchased way below what we qualified for. Space was the most important factor for us, when we bought having 6 kids. We got the biggest house, for the cheapest price. Despite the last 10 years, we've managed to keep our mortgage paid and I think it's just simply due to the fact that we " knew " what we could afford.

What isn't linked to teen depression ? I was a depressed teen .. No facebook, no video games .. nadda. And I managed to survive. The media needs to find something better to do My doctor never asked my kids this ... but then again, she seems to have common sense.

I love to snack on dried apricots. Loaded with Iron and other goodies for you I would think the juice you buy would be loaded with sugar.

I homeschool and I made my kids write sentences as punishment when they were smaller. It does wonder for their handwriting skills My 7 year old has the handwriting skills of a teen. Writing never hurt anyone. When they get older, I make them write essays. Yet another skill they will need for college. I call it positive punishment. While they are being punished, they are learning. I think it's allot better than other forms but that's just my opinion. Not true at all ... by the age of 3 my kids could write complete sentences. And yes they do learn .. even it's just grammar skills or s

What influences your opinions about what is in our food supply ?
Teatime replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
What's sad .. growing up both my parents were chefs. They knew the rules and I got food poisoning all the time. Simply because they didn't take it seriously. People still order steaks rare ... eat raw eggs ... and then they wonder why they get sick. It's more than knowing, it's respecting nature. -

Same here. I trust nobody I could make a list a mile long on why I don't eat meat. However on the very top of that list is not trusting the meat industry or any industry for that matter. Greed is a nasty human flaw .. and as long as my food is attached to that greed .. yeah, I don't trust them. -
"Debtor's Prison" Making a Come Back?

Other parties, she didn't get a lawyer. She paid the debt through their lawyer. What she said -
I agree .. this isn't about homeschooling at all .. it's about parenting. And sadly a child stuck in the middle. Absolutely untrue .. maybe in the dark ages, but not today.

My ex hubby took them ... bad side effects. I would never take them, but that's me. Less sugar, more fruits and veggies .. and exercise.

Depends on the daddy. My ex actually pays me more than he has to, so that I can stay home and homeschool. At first, he didn't approve of homeschooling. But, after giving it a chance, he saw how much better it actually is. It's all about compromise and communicating. I agree that the primary parent should decide on the education .. however, they shouldn't disregard the other parent's input either.

"Debtor's Prison" Making a Come Back?
Teatime replied to LisaKW@bellsouth.net's topic in RECENT TOPICS
In my friends case, she was notified and did pay the debt. However, the lawyer informed her that the papers were a courtesy and that legally, they did not have to contact her. -

"Debtor's Prison" Making a Come Back?
Teatime replied to LisaKW@bellsouth.net's topic in RECENT TOPICS
A friend of mine went through this last year. If it's a credit card, it's civil court. They do not have to notify you of the court date. It is a courtesy for them to do so. However, not mandatory. So, it is possible for you to not know about the court date and the judge to put a warrant out for your arrest. The bail is set at the amount that you owe for the debt. -
We only receive what we demand If people weren't paying for it, CBS wouldn't want him. So glad I don't pay for any of it.

How will our children be able to sign their name?
Teatime replied to Baileybleu's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The only cursive I make my kids learn is their name. Every paper they hand in to me, has to be signed in cursive. My 7 year old does it -
Bone spur, I need some advice from those that have had it
Teatime replied to LPPT's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I had them in both of my heals after a pregnancy. I got some new balance sneakers for heal pain. I wore them almost 24/7 for a few months. The spurs are now gone I'm assuming years of not wearing shoes or poor shoes are what caused it. I've heard from other people that wearing the shoes also helped them. Hope this helps.
