The book is at least as old as the first record in the "family record" section. I'm sure some families bought a book like this to record the passing of "mom" or "dad" or ???? and that is how they are started. Good luck find the history.

Olympia is interesting, don't know about your alternatives for this "town". If you are going out to the ruins, it is nice to walk amongst the pieces of columns and to stand on the starting line - you can almost hear the crowds and participants. Don't stay in the hotels in town -- or at least what I remember from 10 years ago, it wasn't good - but the town folks and their shops are good to walk through. OH ... and at the time I was there, they were SO proud of their connection to Atlanta's Olympic. They were showing off the photos they took with Mayor Campbell The Parthenon is a MUST,

Ran around today and am tired. DH is grilling up the steaks and I've already got the potatoes & spinach salad waiting for him. Have some wine & beer and good food. Will relax with a magazine or book later, or just snooze.

CONGRATULATIONS & BEST WISHES TO KEEP THIS UP!! Rice, Beans, Potatoes .... basis for a lot of great healthy lower cost food Crockpot meals also tend to use lower cost items to help stretch the meal. You might want to think about the farmer's market to get fresh (and local in season) veggies. I saw a sign this morning up at Burger's which is still hosting these this time of year.
