  1. I always enjoy the dinner thread, I get some great ideas for future meals (even if I don't actually make them ) ..... Tonight we are having some reheated smoked butt DH did a few weeks back, serving with some sticky fingers sauced, cucumber salad and fresh cantelope. What did/will you have tonight?
  2. Checked and I got ground sirloin, 90/10. The date is 8/12, but I always cook til done and watch all cross contamination.
  3. Agree. We've been reading similar reports all weekend (and we don't listed to NPR or FOX). Numbers are better and heading up, just not as fast as a recovery as was hoped far. AND we are not in the free-for-all we just saw & led into 2008.
  4. I think someone posted that Elrod's has it up in Dallas. http://local.yahoo.com/info-36269761-elrod-garden-center-dallas
  5. Saw the footage a gentleman filmed from the stands where you can see the wind hit the stage and just twist it .... heartbreaking. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/44133994/ns/us_news-life/
  6. I'm cleaning the house and doing some weeding in the garden. If that sounds like fun to you, please come on over
  7. I see you recognize the need for help, but I don't know where to send you. I think there may be some help by calling for United Way (211 ?) or contact some county services. Best wishes to you all ....
  8. OOOHHHH ... I just spotted something I didn't see last time I was in. I'll be by soon
  9. Sausage Links, poached eggs, rosemary garlic roasted potatoes, and cantelope
  10. Nice new items! We are going to come by soon (with our coupon)
  11. DH smoked some chicken breasts just the other day (with a spicy rub) .... SO ... Tonight we are going to have the breasts sliced on toasted texas toast with a homemade white alabama bbq sauce and sliced dill pickles, cucumber salad and fresh cantelope on the side. YUMMY!
  12. RIP Slim .... PC, may your memories help ease a bit of your hurt in the days and weeks to come. Will keep you and yours in my thoughts.
  13. We use Paulding Waste and won't use WI because of past service which suxd. PW has been great!
  14. Analyze the data and then decide .... Today was a lot of computers inacting complicated non-interactive or analysis actions to execute the trading -- everything was across the board and not tied to statistical reports (like GNP or Unemployed or ???), proving this was another day of just sell because a number told the systems too. Hold tight for the next serveral days/weeks/months. Positive is that there has never been 2 decades in a row which stocks got slammed. Last decade was a downer, so this should be a trend up The long haul should be the biggest focus, not the day to day
  15. I'd question the request and the "motive" behind it, then would make a decision based on his flawed logic === then if I had nothing to hide, I'd let him search. Most are just looking to get agreement then don't do the search. But FYI, logically, your scenerio for rejecting the request implies you have something to hide, which would then imply the search could happen legally because you declined.
  16. deepest sympathies on your loss of your BIL, may he rest in peace. and complete healing and recovery thoughts to your other BIL. (((thoughts))) to you ng & family.

  21. Stop the panic. This is going to take a few days (weeks) to all shake out and you need to keep perspective. 1000 points out of 12000+ is less than 9%, some of which were already changes in progress and had nothing to do with the economy as a whole versus markets within the economy. Bigger swings of the markets (percentage wide) have happened, just need to look at the basis for the overall. The close today was just under the close of a 10/2010 date (don't remember specifcs right this moment), and the rebound brought us over were we were at the end of July (highest numbers). You
