Mr. David Brown - September 14, 1947 - February 19, 2015

Wow. Knew him all my life. The only man I have ever seen wear shorts when it is 30 degrees outside. -
Wow. You have no idea just how close you are. I think if you dig into the fiber that has been installed in the past 5 years you would blow a lid on just who is related to who.

First, if anyone other than the HR department is doing employment background checks, that should be addressed. Second, if they are being done on consumer 'people finder' sites with a county credit card--our county government is in dire need of some help. I think you and I both know this isn't what was going on. Further, you are sort of making a Red Herring--the issue here isn't what information is public information and what isn't--it is a matter in which it was obtained, by who it was obtained, and how it was used to allegedly intimidate someone.

Pat and Patti Show Pat and Patti Show 1/28/2015 - Getting too serious

I just want to give a few awards for the meme worthy terms coined in this thread: I will now get a rag to clean the Diet Mt. Dew I spit on my monitor reading these. -
I am amazed at the apprehension of folks who have to make that once a year trip to Atlanta. I have been driving downtown to work for fours years (two years of that was daily). Our datacenter is three blocks from CNN/Philips/Georgia Dome. It isn't that big of a deal. Heck, you may even meet 'One Eyed Bluesman.' He plays harmonica on the sidewalks during events. Throw him a dollar and tell him I said hello (or a cig if you don't have a dollar...).

When it comes to local information, why not just ask?
audioslave replied to HawkeyeAngel's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I have a scenario that I have witnessed firsthand play out, and coincidentally, it involves a 'housekeeping' position. For the sake of anonymity, this person will simply be referred to as J. Doe. J. Doe was hired, as a temp, to provide day-day housekeeping for a corporate office. Previously, J. Doe worked for a guy (we will call J. Doe II) who owned a small company who provided services time-to-time for this corporate office. Time passed and he appeared to be a good fit for the job, however, when he was processed to be hired as a full-time employee, he didn't qualify. Apparently, he ha -
I pass that area all the time, and I have never noticed. I am not a neighbor and I don't live within spitting distance. Therefore, I could really give a rats ass (no pun intended) what goes on there and I am surely not going to waste my time filing a complaint. Speaking of rats, Animal Control was full of them for years and nobody seemed to really give a cheeze. Why would a random house on East Paulding Drive bother anyone. Just my 2cents.

I usually preface my answer to this question with 'well, ten years ago I would have....' simply because, well, for all practical purposes I am not the same person I was ten years ago. I say this because, well, ten years ago I would have been just as guilty as anyone else of getting my ass way out in front of my mouth--just ask Pubby. I have probably gone off on Pubby (in person) more times than I would like to admit. I actually stepped away from pcom for 5 years or so. I am not really sure what my point is. Perhaps, I am just saying I don't debate and or argue very much on here a

I haven't had any issues. The nice thing about mine is you can change out the antennas for some with higher gain, etc. You can usually find them decently priced on Amazon. Also, if you dump an alternative firmware on it you can adjust the gain and make other adjustments. If you have any desire at all to run alternative firmware, you can't go wrong. TP-Link is the best kept secret in the geek world. Their devices are very solid. I have always been a diehard Netgear person, however, I am glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried the TP-Link.

I don't use hotmail, however, I checked and it seems you aren't the only one experiencing issues: http://downrightnow.com/hotmail

TP-Link is the best value for the money. Plus, you can use open source firmware on 'em. You can pick them up at Micro Center or order from amazon/newegg. http://www.tp-link.us/ Here is the model I have: http://www.tp-link.us/products/details/?categoryid=2166&model=TL-WDR4300 It easily holds up with all three daughters using their iPad Minis, my ipad, Macbook Air, two PC's, an Xbox One, and two Google Chromecasts. EDITED TO ADD: 3 iphones as well. EDITED TO ALSO ADD: My linux server which streams music, video, etc. to all the devices. Also, I have a Raspberry Pi, a

Not taking sides and I can't speak for the taxes, however, there are fuel tanks and they do sell aviation/jet fuel. Actually, this was one of the first 'draws' to metro pilots. Many were flying to our airport just for the cheap fuel. I know they have been selling fuel at least since the FBO started operations in 2010--if not before then.

I see now that you clearly said APPLE in your original post--sorry for my blindness. Are you using an iphone as well? If so, you can set your phones up in a 'family share' group with itunes. This feature allows everyone in your family (up to 5 or 6) share apps, music, etc. Also, it will allow you to see where everyone is--as long as location services are enabled on the phone. https://www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/family-sharing/ The caveat being you need to be running ios8 on the devices. As for texting and internet searches--that's a tricky one. Let me think on that on

I have said it a thousand times: Airport 'security' post 9/11 is merely a charade. The BS shoved down our collective throats in commercial airports has NOTHING to do with terrorism or preventing weapons from making it on an airplane.

Holy smokes what a chuckle I have gotten in this thread. Here is what I learned: We are all biased--regardless of our political persuasion. Liberals are liberal and conservatives are conservative. Zorro's sex life is great. Hell, newsmax nor mother jones could beat that! :-) -
Looks like they certainly have their hands full with this campaign...
