I think what amazes me pubby is you have done nothing during this debacle but a novella hit piece that was basically an indictment of Mike Jones' detractors. Then you release it as a pdf...AND you password protect the pdf knowing it wouldn't get indexed by Google, etc. I guess I'm just confused and disappointed.

Why such a smartass? It was quite clear the Sheriff is the reason the charges were dropped. The man was arrested before he was indicted. The Sheriffs Office can pull their charges anytime they want. Also, Donovan is recusing himself from any further involvement in the case if it moves along.

Personally, I am not sure what Kirsten is referring to. David never said Dick Donovan instructed Mike Jones to do anything. All he stated was that Mike Jones did his 'own investigation' and handed said information gathered over to the district attorney. I think Kirsten is wrong on this one. Her whole rant was about Donovan instructing Mike to conduct the background checks. He didn't say that. Please sanity check me if I am wrong.

The bill had bipartisan support at the time, and (if I recall correctly), was drafted in response to a Native American fired for smoking peyote. The thrust of the bill was to encourage tolerance and prevent discrimination of persons who weren't otherwise practicing the religions of the status quo. Further, the fact that Clinton signed it into law is about as significant as saying Donald Duck did so. What we are faced with now is the intermingling of this law (and those similar) and the 'issue' of gay marriage. Watch the tables turn at some point. Say, oh..I don't know, a muslim flor

I have experienced it as well. Very frightening. I thought someone was breaking into my home. I immediately jumped out of bed to get my 12ga--gladly my wife snapped me out of it. My chest was pounding and I was truly scared. The sound was VERY real..to the point I 'felt' it.

Thanks. That blurb states it was dismissed...but it links to older stuff. I am truly interested in the disposition of that and the other case. The other case that was filed at the same time had to do with credit checks being used. I don't think it was holding much weight either with the court--the same sort of argument was being used against the eeoc..given they were using the same type criteria for their own hiring. Should be interesting.

Source? I remember reading about the judge's order and some other information about the other case that was filed the same day this one was. However, I can't find anything on it being dismissed.

Perhaps you missed the tag that says 'OPINION' next the the top of the 'report.' Not to mention the author is a lawyer--not a scientist.

I am well aware of who our representatives are. As you stated, there are two females and in the spirit of not going on deduction and conjecture, I asked 'who.' Not really sure the purpose of your post.
