  1. Awesome topic!!! Also Buy American made items! theBookworm, do you have any Amish fiction books? My Mama loves these kinds of books. If so I will have to come visit you!
  2. I love the show and I was so mad when I noticed it wasn't on last night. I remembered later that last week they did say it would be back in 2 weeks. I love all the story lines. The foreign stuff is a little overboard and I wonder if things like that really did happen. If anyone knows, I would love to hear about it. I love that time era. I love the clothes and the props used in the show. I watched something on one of the ET type showes where the set designer uses an old Sears and Roebuck catalog for his Bible as far as what type of items were used back then.
  3. I am adding Strawberry Shortcake and Blue Berry Cobbler to my list to get rid of some of my berries that I picked and froze over the summer. I got the recipies off All Recipie...I think.
  4. Watermelons. Actually any kind of melon....Yuck.
  5. I was crying when Kelly was reading her goodbye note to him. I think at 80 years of age, he doesn't have to have a reason for wanting to quit! I'm sure we will see him on other things just not Dancing with the Stars. LOL He told Katie Curic (sp) that he would only do it if he could have Derrick as a partner. LOL
  6. Turkey and Dressing, Mashed Potatos, Green Been Casserole, Gravy, several pies!!!! Maybe with: Mac N Cheese and other veggies!
  7. The last massage I got was from this place. Oh how I need another one!!!
  8. WOW 18 years ago. I can't believe he is still there. That man loves what he does...I guess!
  9. Glad you are doing so good. Praying for a quick recovery.
  10. I remember that like it was yesterday!!
  11. Trixie's Treasures is awesome. She put Gamma's Goodies on two of my aprons while I was at a craft show. Quick and beautiful. I got to pick the color and the font. Awesome work.
  12. Limit of 5. I got 7 for my church yesterday. My Mama was with me and had to get 2 of them for me.
  13. I live near there and it is barely raining. No wind.
  14. Rainy days and Mondays always get me down!!! LOL It is not Monday so I'll just enjoy a lazy day today.
  15. When we put our wood burning stove in years ago the only place we could find for the pipe my husband said we needed was a old hardware store on Canton Highway in Marietta. I'm sorry, I can't remember the name. I agree with the others, don't do this cheaply. You may pay for it in the end!
  16. I have not seen anything on the news about this. Actually I haven't watched any news, but I have FB friends and family who live in Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas who said they felt it around midnight (their time). Anyone heard anything about this. I'm off to Goggle it! Edited: I found this on www.foxnews.com Apparently it wasn't at midnight. Damage Reported After 5.6 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Oklahoma Published November 06, 2011 | Associated Press Print Email Share Comments Text Size SPARKS, Okla. – A 5.6 magnitude quake
  17. We were so fortunate that my Mama and Daddy had 54 wonderful years together until he died. My sister divorced after 20 something years. She should have gotten her divorce years earlier. My husband got divorced from his lieing cheating 1st wife after 21 years of marriage. He should have done it sooner, but I wouldn't have been ready for him. So the timing on his divorced worked great for me. We are going on 15 years of marriage and still loving each other.
  18. You got that right!!!! I couldn't imagine eating any animal not fully cooked!
  19. We are having SOS! I'm not gonna say what that is. LOL We had left over turkey yesterday from 2010 thanksgiving. So today I have made a gravy and put the cut up meat in it. We are going to serve it over either noodles or biscuits. We haven't decided yet. About the Steaks... I couldn't sit with any of you eating steak that rare. YUCK I want mine dead!!!
  20. Thanks for the info. I had totally forgot it was time for this.
  21. I was on Dabbs Bridge Road Monday and 2 little dear (not fawns) ran out in front of the car in front of me. We all hit our brakes and then another one came running out between me and the car in front of me. If I ever see one deer I expect a 2nd one, but never a 3rd. It was kinda cute the 3rd one stopped in the road and looked at my car and then looked where the other deer went and it looked like he/she was thinking "I better get out of here!" Cute. I did hit a dear on Cedarcrest years ago. Not a fun experience at all.
